A WORD FROM THE OWNER..

"We moved here just before our children were born and this as been a much loved family home for all of us over the past ten years. The house's open plan layout and the garden have been brilliant for our growing family. The local shops and services down on Wood Street are a real lifeline too, we now have several specialty coffee shops, sourdough bakeries as well as fresh fruit and vegetables from the Turkish grocers. We're also grateful to have a local library, post office, chemist and a garden centre so close to hand. We didn't realise it at the time, but this street is also ideally located for school catchments and nurseries. There's the excellent Wood Street Nursery, which our boys loved, and for primary schools there is Henry Maynard, Woodside and St Mary's. For secondary education, there's Leytonstone, Frederick Bremer and the local girls' school.

When our children were smaller we felt incredibly lucky to have the local Bisterne Avenue playground further up Fyfield Road and the community garden on Greenway Avenue, which are great places for parents with toddlers to meet and spend time together. We also discovered a range of activities for young children, such as Bongalong and baby signing classes and local activities at the Cricket, tennis and squash club around the corner, which also hosts a great local fireworks on Bonfire night. You're also only a short walk from Walthamstow village, whilst a little further afield you have skateboarding at Lloyd Park, the brilliant pool and Spa at the Feel Good Centre, the Forest cinema and the new Soho Theatre which hosts wonderful comedy nights and concerts.
One of the biggest benefits of living here is the easy walking access to the forest, which became a daily routine even before working from home. You can walk on to Highams Park, Wanstead or Woodford, or loop around Forest School. On workdays, the Weaver line is excellent, fast, clean and with great connections to the City and Victoria line.
