We used this agent as she happened to live in the same estate as us and felt she had good knowledge of the houses.
Firstly, she stated a price which we disagreed with but she bulldozed us into agreeing with her.
Then when their valuation person came around he stated the same amount she said. We did our own research and found that our house was actually worth £20k more. After a phone call to the surveyors they actually agreed with us and finally we got her to list OUR property at the price we thought in the first place.
She took all the photos which were very poor and after 3 dismal attempts we took our own. She wrote the description which was simply a few sentences of blurb taken from the original sales brochure which was over 10 years old - ie it referred to the estate as having won some awards. It didn't even state how many bedrooms there were and missed out important things like how many bathrooms and en-suites there were. We ended up writing our own description.
She also refused to do a floorplan and referred us to a partner company who would do us one for £120!! No thanks - with a graphic designer in the household we did our own. There were many things that were really stressful for us both but her attitude and lack of attention to detail was appalling.

Every conversation ended up in a battle and considering we paid £3,000 for the privilege of her producing a 1 page schedule that was very amateurish we felt very let down by this woman with her unprofessional manner and tyrannical personality. We found out recently that neighbours of ours had a similar experience with her.
Note to the manager - you need to review your staff as we are not the only people who feel like that.

The agent is particularly unhelpful to prospective buyers. When we requested a home report to inform a booked viewing they do not oblige. Under the Housing (Scotland ) Act 2006 Chapter 3 section 99 (2) states that there is a duty to provide information to potential buyer(1) A person who is responsible for marketing a house which is on the market must comply with any request by a potential buyer for a copy of any or all of the prescribed documents in relation to the house. Peterkin and Kidd failed to provide this information to people do not meet the exemptions criteria under chapter 3, section 99 (3) of the act, ie someone who is not genuine etc.

In all the service provision to prospective buyers is most unfriendly. This particular instance has not been the first time that we've encountered this level of poor service from Peterkin and Kidd and the cumulative effect has led us to provide this poor feedback.
