Had an offer accepted on a property being marketed by Paul Carr. Memorandum of sale issued and I instructed my solicitor. Sold sign went up, then I got a phone call saying if I want to proceed I need to increase my offer. From then on it was always myself calling them to find out what was going on. Appalling customer service from several members of the Walmley office. We have been contacted by the vendor who informed us that we were his preferred bidders and that he had instructed the agent to accept our offer. Avoid at all costs if you want to sell your property, go find another agent. Dont beleive the hype that they are largest estate agents in birmingham, it doesnt mean you`ll have a smooth, support process selling your home. We paid a fee to Alan for our mortgage arrangement, but before requesting our mortgage he\'d discussed all our options and gave some excellent advice about products available. He provided us with a Decision In Principle so we knew we were pretty much good to go if we went ahead with the application. I think the fee was reasonable for the amount of work Alan put in and for all of his advice.

Really happy with the service provided. Completely stress free - lots of updates from Julie so we knew how our sale was progressing! Only thing that we hadn't planned on was having to leave our property before we had the keys to the new house - I understand the buyers money had come in but as it was almost 1pm it meant that the onward solicitor had gone to lunch and that delayed our money arriving in to the account! Do not sell through them! Over charged and working on behalf of buyers and not sellers. Only contact via emails and not phone, send out emails by end of the day so can not get hold of them on same day. forced us to reduce price saying we will not be able to sell for the price we are asking. After sold found out the person who brought the property knew them very well and so they acted on behalf of him....

I had a complete nightmare with this property and Paul Carr did nothing to help. My downstairs toilet did not work. Eventually after moaning for 8 months they eventually 'tried' to fix it but still didn't manage to do so and did not lift a finger to support me when I tried to gain compensation from the landlord for inconvenience of living in a house with a broken toilet with two children. Paul Carr Estate Agency and specifically Kim Jones were excellent throughout the process, from the initial free valuation through to the exchange of contracts. She regularly went out of her way to update me on the interest in the property. In addition she kept me up to date whilst the property was SSTC with the buyers progress with the searches and mortgage application. Please stop your Lies, Mortgage Department and stop over charging people. At start staff were friendly. There is no star less then 1 otherwise I would have left -5. If you are buying house and see Paul Carr sign for sale do not bother to think of buying that property. Avoid them at any cost. If you are selling house then definitely do not use them as we sold and bought property through them and both the time we had plants of problems. Not helpful and overcharged on the both the occasions. Do not use them....

My husband and myself cannot thank Chris and his team enough always there every step of the way. We had used several estate agents who failed to sell our house. Within 2 weeks we had sold the house with Paul Carr and know the reason was he sent the correct person round to the house and only serious buyers where other estate agents just sent anyone.
