When we proposed major savings by the appointment of a day-caretaker for cleaning and gardening, he scuttled the plan by signing up the contract service for a two-year period. So they called PA and they invoiced me for a new cistern in the tank for £200, ( it costs about a £10 to purchase). when they moved out I inspected the toilet, it had a limescale make around it that would have taken years to form. ...

View all comments (1) Very interesting, we had our lights in the communal area 'upgraded' by a Parkgate Aspen sub contractor. Ours keep failing and need changed. I am currently paying £2400 per year for a service of what? Yes the gardens are mowed regulary (all be it on a saturday morning), and the communal area is hoovered and polished (not by the care taker, who's salary is payed for through the service charge) and our bins colleceted Mon-Sat mornings.
