I rented a property through Oneills for 3 years while studying in Glasgow and never had an issue with the agents. They were always very helpful and quick to respond if I had any problems/maintenance issues. The staff were always very friendly and made me feel confortable to contact them when I needed to. We have now rented our flat in Edinburgh with ONeills for 5 years and they have been fantastic. They deal with any problems efficiently and at good value. We have had continuous occupancy and great tenants. When we moved to ONeills from a different agent they gave us fantastic advice and increased our monthly rental. O'Neill's looked after my Polwarth flat wonderfully for nearly 14 years. I live in Australia and so was completely reliant on them. They've never ever let me down, and have often gone above and beyond. They're extremely responsive, quick to rectify tenants issues and very fair. We were renting a flat from O'Neills for 4 years. Whenever we had any problems with the flat they were extremely helpful and answered any queries promptly. I would definitely recommend renting from them....

ONeill have been letting and managing my property in Dublin St and I have been very pleased with the service. I have a good relationship with John in the Edinburgh office and as importantly he has a good relationship with the tenants and deals with any issues promptly. I would have no reservation recommending them to other landlords....

Been with O'Neills for a few years now and have had no issues whatsoever and been very happy with the service they provide and continue to do so, especially as they've ensured that the property has been occupied at all times. When there have been issues with my property e.g. repairs, they've handled this in a very professional manner and have addressed any problems very promptly keeping me informed at all times....

I don't know what all these bad reviews are on about!! I found ONeills to be a very professional agency that always cared about my wellbeing. Whenever there was a problem in my flat someone was sent round ASAP and most of the time fixed my problem to a very satisfactory standard. The lease signing was a stress free process and everything was explained within clarity and precision. Would 100% recommend this agency!...

Quite honestly the worst rental from a tenants perspective ever. I leased a property as a student, and with the high market demand I jumped at a property, and agreed the 2 months advanced rent without protection terms, as well as a reservation fee. When I moved in the property was a state, and had its electricity disconnected! I cleaned it to the best of my ability for the whole first week. Absolute joke of a firm!! Never use!! I have to admire them for coming up with a way to bypass the Safe Deposit Scheme in Scotland in which your deposit is required (by law) to be protected - they effectively get you to give two months' rent upfront (covering the last two months' rent) which you will NEVER see again!! Wonderful way for them to retain as much of your money as possible! Then, when you vacate, demanding it is "professionally cleaned" when it was filthy when moved into - ...

Useless, appalling, cowboys are a few chosen words that come to mind with this crowd of jokers. Hi. Would you be able to contact the office and let us know who you are? The taking of 2 months holding fee in lieu of rent is perfectly legal as advised by our solicitors, TC Young. One of the agencies where everything is fine until there is a problem in the property... money is what matters, not the customer/tenant. Not mentioning that they do many things illegaly such as charging for 2 months rent worth deposit without any cover from Safe Deposit......

As Landlords we were very disappointed with ONeills. They did not act promptly to problems reported by the tenants, this lead to a multitude of consequences and thousands of pounds being spent on repairs. When an appliance ( eg toaster) was reported broken by the tenants, this was never replaced despite us consenting for this to be done. We, as landlords, used O\'Neills as agents to let out our flat. They were very communicative in letting us know when viewings were going to take place. The paperwork to follow was of the highest quality. After the tenants moved in we were very impressed with the efficiency of the rent being paid, queries we had etc. Overall, we O\'Neills to be very efficient....

I rented a flat through O\'Neill lettings. I had been in the flat for over two years when the very old boiler was replaced. I discovered through the registered gas installer who replaced the boiler that I had been at risk of electrocution throughout the tenancy due to faulty wiring. In addition he advised that the ventilation to the gas boiler was insufficient. A different gas firm used by O\'Neills had given me two annual safety certificates without noting the dangerous wiring. What agent could do to change your mind?
-addressed maintenance issues promptly -ensured that reputable tradespeople were employed and that the flat was safe to live in at all times -not used threatening behaviour to attempt to extort money which was not owed -given me a proper accounting of my deposit including receipts -only deducted from the deposit in respect of items which had been noted at the end of tenancy inspection -treated me politely and respectfully

I would like to report of abusive and unfair behaviour by O\'Neill Property letting agency in Edinburgh .6 North West Circus Place Old Town. After agreeing a leaving date when the agency had found a new tenant I was charged £194.82 due to a change in the entry date of the new tenants which I had nothing to do.
