Utterly useless, it's taken 3 months to get a shower working (and at the time of writing it STILL ISN'T WORKING) among a litany of other issues. NJH also seem to have a deal with Spark electricity whereby they put all student lets on their tariff and get a kickback from that. Awful experience, the property had a broken fridge/freezer for atleast 4 months, after atleast 5 emails all future emails regarding the fridge freezer were not responded to. To my knowledge the fridge freezer still hasn't even been replaced since I have left. Additionally I was repeatedly told someone was being sent over, waited in and no one would arrive... the lights in the hallway also didn't work for atleast 6 months of my time there, this matter was never solved either. My son has just moved into Adcocks Close, a property owned and managed by Nicholas Humphreys. The service by Naomi has been absolutely fantastic, the house was clean and tidy for us to move in, they read the meters, helped out with issues when changing supplier etc. Nothing is too much trouble for Naomi, I have found her to be very professional and helpful through the whole process. We would be keen to stay with her for all the time my son is at this university....

The most awful experience any of my housemates have had with a letting agent/landlord. Arrived to the house which was full of rubbish (which we had to take to the dump in 3 car trips.) Half the lights were broken, one shower wasn't working (which they took 2 weeks to send someone out to fix it) and the hallway and lounge was left plastered in places but not painted. Fees seem ridiculous considering how little we get from the company by way of help. Rent due at nonsensical times throughout the year- how are students who only get their loans at the end of September, January and April meant to pay nearly a grand at the end of June before even moving in?

Do not very use this company!! This review is coming from four girls that rented a property in Derby. First of all, we were told that we only had introduction only so Nicholas Humphrey's did not pay any attention to any of our problems we faced in the property for the entire time we lived there. The first day we moved in, the landlord demanded £320 in cash from every person, would not give a receipt so god knows where that cash went- properly straight into her pocket (avoiding the books!)....

I am sorry to hear of your experience whilst staying in Derby. If you can provide the property address I will conduct a thorough investigation into the issues raised. From the limited details available it appears that the property in question was managed by the landlady and therefore as an agency we have little control over her actions.However there are guidelines that should be followed by all landlords which we can assist with and follow up if not adhered to.Kind regards Kevin Sutton for Nicho....

Avoid this estate agents as much as you can. We reported problems several times when we moved in and they kept telling me somebody would call me back. 9 months later still waiting the call. One star is pushing it. I've rented two property's through Nicholas humphreys and both of which were supposed to be managed by themselves. When it came to getting anything done it was a push. I was left with a condemned boiler for over 3 months in my second property, nothing on inspections was ever sorted to which I got told that they can't force the landlord to sort anything out of he doesn't want to.Having to chase up still about my deposit and even ring there accountants directly....

My Stepson rented this property with 4 fellow students when it came to the end of the 1 year contract we as guarantors were all presented with huge bills for so called repairs. £220 to clean the property. £900 to repair a bed. £220 to repair a table leg and chair. £50 to tidy garden. Nicholas Humphreys have been brilliant from start to finish. Tom was really friendly and helpful at the viewing, and it then turned out he was managing the house as well! I have been renting a house through Nicholas humphreys for over 3 years and have found they have got worse as time has gone on. While a few of the staff are lovely and polite, others are patronising and just want you off the phone as quick as possible.
