I have rented with Morgans before, but only through their city centre office. My experiences mean I would not recommend them again and certainly not have any dealings with their headingley office. When maintenance issues were reported, they wrote incorrect information meaning that it took weeks to get fixed. We could never be certain our bills were correct as the meters were in the landlords shop under our flat - the water company are still (after a year) think we might have a leak. This cos...

What agent could do to change your mind?
Agent could have dealt with complaints and sought to deliver a service to tenants as well as landlords. Agent could also deal with maintenance issues appropriately and in timely way.

Were lovely getting me into the place. Were rude and unprofessional when I was moving out. All they cared about was getting the next person in. They came by unannounced and 15 minutes after the agreed hour-long window multiple times. When I was present during a viewing, they acted like I wasn\'t there and instructed the people to go ahead and look through my stuff. Charged nonsense fees on moveout, and an exorbitant fee on the item I admitted I broke. Didn\'t tell me in advance what I needed...

Remember that your customers should be treated well during their entire contract and not just after move in.

Let\'s face it - letting agents and estate agents have a bad reputation. Some of it is probably unjustified and some of it is probably justified, so I tend to take each company as I find them and on their own merits - in the same way I do with all other service providers I come into contact with. It\'s a shame that Morgan\'s don\'t have that same view when dealing with their own tenants. I should also say that I am not a serial renter, but I am in no way property inexperienced. What a terrible agent! They lied to us telling us that the tenants were not interested in renting our property. The poor tenants came to visit us personally, to tell us that they were interested in the property but had asked the agents if they could move in to the property after we had fully furnished the place as agreed. They were naturally concerned that when we moved the furniture into the property, this might damage the property and they would be left responsible. This was a fair request...

MD comment - People like this should be made to reveal their identity รขโ‚ฌโ€œ no one at Morgans knows who they are or what they are talking about. The onus here needs to be with this web site who accepts claims from persons unknown without any confirmation of who they are or what they are talking about. Morgans are dreadful! We placed a deposit on a property and passed the referencing process. Before we left the deposit, we told them that we wanted the place fully furnished. They said this would not be an issue and the place would be furnished before we move in. A few days before we were going to move in, they informed us that the washer/dryer would be delivered after we moved in and the landlord would be replacing the sofa in the property also after we moved in. We do not take deposits from any tenants at point of references - its also illegal for any agent to not return a deposit - just maybe this person/persons would like to see the codes that Morgans adhere to - and if they can find a reason why Morgans acted wrongly then the MD will offer a double your money compensation!!!!!....
