Appalling experience with this agent--they are chasing us for a fee we do not owe and have fabricated a viewing and an offer in their attempt to extort money from us. Different sections of the company claim different things at different times. Unprofessional conduct by the branch staff, in relation to a letting service. Staff created 3 different tenancies for one property, told the prospective tenants to attend property the meet the landlord however failed to notify the landlord to this effect and tenants were left wailing at the property for 30 minutes. As a prospective tenant, I asked to see a property and be considered. All fine, still available. My inquiry was passed to another person located in St.Ives. Didn't call me back, didn't follow up. I am disgusted with this agent. As a landlord letting my holiday let for a winter let this company was fine the first year as are many until a query arises. I left the property i rented from miller countrywide penzance after they had put a lot of ptessure on me to renew my tenancy in october 2015. I left it in an immaculate condition and always paid my rent on time. It is now february 2016 and i am still waiting for my deposit to be repaid!!! Having agreed to purchase the property in question, the property was withdrawn from the Market by this estate agency as requested. I began searches through our solicitor. All parties were agreed on the sale. During this time the property was subsequently readvertised without my knowledge or my solicitor's knowledge and this agency has since sold the property to another party. This agent's have been completely lacklustre in all aspects of our Tenancy and now 6 weeks into the rent we have only just managed to get them to agree to send out the inventory. On the move in date the whole process was very unprofessional with the inventory clerk late to finish his work and hence a late move-in. We then had problems with the sink leaking which after calling the maintenance department was not completed for over a week. We didn't get any record of Gas/Electricity/Water supplier...

They charge a lot for their services, neglected to tell us of important things such as the ridiculously high rateable value, their service team for repairs etc. was slow, and they gave us a notice that we had to vacate the property as soon as the initial 6 month period was up, with the supposed reason that the owner wanted to sell, which then never happened. So they just bagged the service charge every 6 months to maximise their profits....

Disgusting customer service, incompetent, lack of communication, false acquisation given. No compassion for there own mistakes. When we paid there accountants the monthly rent they did not release it on time to the landlord and tried to charge us ! Also paid out deposit owing to us into the wrong account which has put us under financial strain....

1. they failed in explaining their vetting system in respect to not accepting income from investments. 2. They were rude and abrupt and absolutely no customer care whatsoever. 3. they didn't ensure that Tregoodwell house was fit to rent out as it has, rising damp, leaking windows, a faulty damp chimney. 4. To listen and acknowledge that they have failed to provide an acceptable standard of service and not make lame exscuses. To also acknowledge that we have been forced to move after only 6 months in this property as conditions are so bad. It would be impossible to stay here especially when the very long and expensive work is carried out to rectify all these issues, especially the rising damp. To offer some compensation to help with our relocation and acceptance of their failings.

Miller Countrywide is the largest lettings agent in the country and their fees appear to match their size. To pay so much for such atrocious service, to the point they were arrogant and rude. Toally uncaring in the way we were dealt with.

We have let with them for two years and had very little comunication. requests often ignored. different departments send us contradictory information from a non reply email address. This was my first experience of using a letting agent. Because Miller Countrywide are a well known name, I decided to let my apartment through them. Big mistake. Lots of chat, but very little action. They could have done their job better in all aspects. The Tenancy Agreement clearly stated that periodic checks were to be carried out. If they had done this, then they would have realised how badly the apartment was being cared for. They need to be more responsive to landlord\'s requests for information. Being rude and dismissive on the phone is not the correct way to behave.

Miller Countrywide took one month rent even after we vacated the property. I have a wriiten proof of the one month noticesent to their terminations department but Tim Halper insisted that they havent got the notice I emailed. I forwarded the email to him but only said he would have this investigated but they have done the right thing and we might not get our money back. Two weeks gone havent heard anythin....

Appalling. I cannot find one good thing to say about the way I have been treated by Millers. Incompetent staff through and through. Problems with previous tenants made me consider not continuing letting my property out. Not helped at all by Millers who never returned my calls regarding issues with the tenants. Appointment to pick up keys at 9.30 - cancelled by agents at 9.25 as they were not ready. House not cleaned prior to entry - 2 weeks later still cleaning and riddled with fleas - no help or recompence from Estate agents. Inventory post marked 21st Sept 6days after we moved in- with clauses stating invalid if not returned within 5 days of moving in... all rooms marked as good condition when they clearly were not. Very bad service and we will not be using them again....
