Quick to take your money. Inventory clerk extremely rude and disgusting. Try to charge you for things that don't need doing. Put you in dirty houses and then expect it left in tip top condition and then won't pick up the phone to you. Cowards! Since writing this review I received an apology from the inventory clerk plus a personal email from the Director to follow this up. I bought through Miles and Barr late last year and I must say that I found the whole experience from start to finish a very positive one. I Dealt primarily with Lucy but found all other members of staff helpful and always happy to go out of there way. I kept everything in house and was referred to their mortgage broker who topped any other rates I had been offered. I would highly recommend them and if I was to sell this house in the future I would use them as my agent without hesitation....

Although the approach of the valuer seemed to be genuine, I quickly discover that in fact he was only interested in having my listing!! My initial contact with Miles Barr when registering was pleasant. I spoke with someone called Laura. The person carrying out the viewing claimed they were experienced... though clearly appeared unaware of customer care. Her manner seemed quite abrasive. Have to say I have recently dealt with the herne bay office for my sale, and Birchington for the purchase. Both offices have been extremely helpful and the process was painless. I also used miles and Barr financial services for my mortgage and Tammy was a star, really sorted things out for me. Although they are not the cheapest, the service was impeccable. I would recommend miles and Barr to everyone and would have no issue using them again....

What a shamble. Unprofessional staff and some very suspect selling procedures. Who ever owns Miles & Barr really needs to vet the employees as they are losing the company so many potential buyers and sellers. I travelled from Chelmsford to view an apartment in Broadstairs. I made an offer the same day and from then on the service I received was the worst I have ever received from an Estate Agent. Have contacted both Ramsgate and Margate offices a few times now. The agent could have made sure that the property was habitable and fit for a tenants enjoyment of the property. Th agent could have portrayed a more assertive, take charge, no-nonsense attitude in getting requested repairs accomplished, thus enhancing good business relations, ethical practices and professional standards and trust.

This sale has taken nearly 4 months, they use their own in house Solicitors, Boys and Maughan, who are almost as inefficient as they are. There was no chain on this property as it was a probate sale.
