Terrible agency. Have rented through them several times and had problems at end of tenancy each time with unrealistic expectations. Most recent property was dirty and carpets were in poor condition when moved in but despite marking all this on the inventory there were still petty issues with cleaning. Would need caution with renting through this company....

Hi Lucy - Thank you for taking the time to review us and I am sorry that you have not found us favourable. We always take feedback to heart and want to improve our services where needed. I have had a quick look over your end of term inspection and can see there were a few minor cleaning issues and a couple of items that had been left behind that needed removing. Appalling agency. Viewed property which had tenents in at the time, was no palace, very out dated etc but at the time we needed a home so went ahead a secured the property. Upon checking over their inventory it became apparent it was a draft of a old one which had not been amended in accordance. Thank you for your review, although obviously I am very disappointed. Having looking through our records I think I have identified you as tenants and the property. I must stress that the inventory was not prepared by us and at the beginning of your tenancy the property was not managed by us. I think this is where the issues have arisen from. Maldon Letting's seem solely interested in the Landlord's only and the one's that are paying them a maintenance fee. Check-In Report used out of date and inaccurate, no issues experienced in property tended to in a timely fashion or not tended to at all, charged for damage that occurred before tenancy began and then agents lied on their case submission to adjudication. Thank you for your review and naturally I am disappointed at the content. I have found it difficult to locate your record from the information supplied, which makes it difficult for me to reply fully. This estate agent in particular the manager of this so called high standard letting agents was the most rudest and unprofessional person i have ever spoke to ! She wrote a personal reference when i vacated property and then had to retract that reference promptly because it did not match what the landlord felt about the reference at all! this lady i feel had a personal problem with me ( the tenant) and so made this clear in writing a horrable and untrue reference. What agent could do to change your mind?
Been more helpful and compassionate we know she is doing her job for the landlord and the tenant it cannot be easy but when children are involved it is a more serious matter whole futures can be ruined wiv untrue and harsh words

Hi - the detrimental reference was provided as rent had been late on several occasions however, as the landlord had wanted his property back, he asked me to retract the reference provide a good reference so that the tenants would be re-homed. They were of course very upset that the detrimental reference had been given in the first place although it was the truth, hence their very negative review. ...
