The experience myself and my housemates had with keylet was beyond a joke. first of all, when we moved in to the property we were told that it would have been professionally cleaned prior to move in day. However, when we arrived, the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all! If I could give minus stars I would do so. Keylet have been insistently unhelpful and sometimes frankly quite aggressive with my flat mate and I. Our flat was damp (due to a leak from the roof) to the point where our clothes and shoes and university work would grow mould within a week if against the wall. I stayed in a flat managed by Keylet for 6 years, and while my maintenance issues were sorted fairly quickly, Keylet's unprofessionalism quickly surfaced at the end of tenancy. The TDS (Tenancy Deposit Service) advises agents to return deposits to tenants within 10 days of the end of tenancy, however Keylet forces tenants to sign a contract giving themselves 30 days to return it (bearing in mind they keep the deposit money in their own bank account, collecting interest, and therefore want to ke...

Be very careful when dealing with this agency. They will do barely anything for you, even though they will be asking for the fees to be paid in full (wasted money). Always put everything in writing, ask for written confirmation for everything, record phone calls or live chats inside their offices. After trapsing around crappy houses with crappy agents, we were booked in with Keylet the following day. When we got there, Jon sat us down and talked through exactly what we wanted, then we were shown the ones he thought suited us best. He actually listened to us and got it spot on! We were signed up quite quickly and wasn't half as painful as my other experiences with letting agents. Even got a new sofas chucked in :) Cant wait for next year now!...

Cannot thank Keylet enough for all there help!! After being late finding a property last year myself and friends were struggling to find anything but disgusting and dirty apartments that other agents deemed luxury. After short notice they managed to find us a lovely property and were so quick in getting our contracts signed and our minds at ease. DO NOT RENT WITH KEYLET!!! They are unbelievably rude, never fix a problem in the property unless you get to a point to threaten them to report them to the Cardiff Council. The are completely unorganised, constantly losing tax exception forms, final bills etc. and keep in mind: YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK! Awful letting agency. When we moved in it wasn't the cleanest but we overlooked it as we were so excited to move in. Over the months that passed we had a few lighting problems and rang the maintenance team twice, both times people came out and nothing seemed to change. I regularly rent out my apartment in Cardiff Bay as I work overseas a lot and therefore I have allot of experience in working with all the local letting agencies. Stay away from this letting agent at all costs! They are money grabbers who will over charge you for everything under the sun. they charge stupid extra amounts for invoices (i.e. printing out a sheet of paper), which must be using fancy ink i suppose by the astronomical prices. they constantly added these petty fees and charge extortionate amounts for cleaning when you leave the property, they have charged me over £100 for a cleaning job that will take about 30 seconds. they're tr...
