I just wanted to reiterate the other review of this branch as we have had the exact same problems and are having a dreadful time presently arguing about our requirement to have the chimney swept. The maintenance coordinator is incredibly condescending and rude and frankly, unhelpful and unorganised in her role. The letting arm of this agency leaves everything to be desired. They have been dishonourable and verging on dishonest in their dealings with me when they feel it is warranted. Once you have signed on the line and they have your money God help you from here on in esp if you need maintenance on your property. What agent could do to change your mind?
Without your tennants you have no business regardless of how many wonderful properties you have on your books. You need to give some serious customer service training to your lettings arm in Haslemere. Your tennants are not second class citizens and neither are your contractors. Treat them with respect and honesty and your company will flourish. You have a reputation that is not positive in the local area and take this as the trigger for improvement that reading the reviews is long over due in Haslemere.

Both Andrew and James gave very good feedback after viewings, and once sale terms had been agreed, kept in regular contact with the buyer and both sets of solicitors to ensure progress to completion. Also used Keats for letting and found this office to be efficient and reliable in obtaining tenants and paperwork generally better than other agents we had used....

Sophie has been extremely helpful and professional at all times. In total I will have only been at the above address for a matter of weeks having changed my mind shortly having taken up the tenancy. I am currently going through a very difficult time in my life having recently separated from my husband. Sophie has managed to balanced her profession requirements (ie having to re let the property) with compassion towards me which had been greatly appreciated....

I feel that the fees are on the high side when compared with range of fees charged by other agents that we use. It has not arisen in respect of this tenancy, as the tenants have been at the property for very many years, but I would like to see agents being more imaginative in the terms that are offered to tenants, at least after a probationery period. For example, why not a 2-year tenancy with a tenant-only break clause after a year or a one-year tenancy with a tenant-only break clause after six months.Agents should be prepared to offer. This gives flexibility for tenants and may avoid the landlord being faced with renewal fees or accepting a statutory periodic tenancy.

Great customer service, from my first viewing of the property to me being given the keys. Referencing was straight forward, documents provided in a timely fashion and the let pack you are given with inventory etc is very impressive. I would highly recommend Sophie and Keats for anyone looking to rent in the Petersfield area....

Keats produced a detailed and professional free valuation before we employed them to sell our property. They helpfully informed us in advance of potential purchasers and this information proved accurate as one of these buyers followed up to completion. We were kept informed regularly by Anna and Andrew who were exceptionally helpful at all times and very reliable in answering any queries. We would certainly recommend their services....

Keats have been brilliant - we've bought property through them before (thanks Andrew), but this time James provided the details on a new buy-to-let. He met us on-site, allowed us free-reign as we looked over the house and was able to answer every question we had (there were many) about the area, the local rental market and the property itself....

Although it took a long time to find a buyer for my mother's retirement flat, Keats never lost interest. They were professional, friendly and helpful at all times. When I eventually decided to refurbish the flat to make it more appealing (their advice), the first person to view it offered the asking price. They remained on the case until completion and the fee charged was very competitive....

I have been renting for over 10 years with different estate agents and also private landlords. From my experience as a tenant I must say that the worst was renting a property managed by Keats in Haslemere. The only time they have been professional was on a viewing. Complaints like this are always disappointing and sadly we are unable to offer any resolution when the complainant hides behind a blog and won't even reveal their identity. Keats always use external inventory clerks in order to avoid bias and tenants have every opportunity to contest the inventory at the check in appointment which is taken at their pace and follows up with a check in report. Do not ever rent from these cowboys. From day until the day left shocking. Useless, rude and dishonest - these people seem to have forgotten that a house is the biggest purchase most people with ever make and treat you like dirt. They failed to attend a prearranged appointment and we had to call when already at the property - they fail to respond to calls and email and not once followed up. Hands down to the rudest, most incompetent staff I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The issues with the property I rented for a short period of time were extensive. When I approached Keats to resolve the issues they did nothing and even lied to us about when they would be fixed! It took two months for them to fix the heating during bitterly cold winter months!!! We do not leave tenant without heating and would do everything possible to maintain the property to the highest standard. I would like to comment on you point. Avoid this incompetent company at all costs - whether you are tenant or landlord. I have never been spoken to in such a rude, condescending, patronising manner in all my life. The staff in the lettings office in Haslemere are rude, unhelpful and totally incapable of doing their job. We rented off them for 6 months and had countless dealings with their terrible customer service. Simple requests are questioned, they tell you it's not their job to deal with things they should be dealing with...

No I do not wish to discuss this with the agent via this method. I have written to the MD of the Haslemere office and would prefer to deal with him directly. There are too many things they could have done better throughout our tenancy to change my mind that it really isn't worth writing them down here.

Had Keats to let our property - Discussed on a commission when the manager came for a survey, the commission went up by 2% when i got the paperwork- i recalled the conversation, returned to the discussed rates. This was a short time let and keats mentioned all the monies shall be paid upfront. When i checked the deposit there was just the first month's and Keats kept the remaining money - had to chase them up after two weeks the money was sent to our bank. Now the tenants left 4 weeks ...

They were useless. I had a serious problem with mould and damp in the flat, and was told to buy a 'dehumidifier', the damp was so bad my duvet went mouldy! When I gave them a month's notice because of the terrible conditions they told me it would have to be six weeks because of the date I tendered my notice. They took seven weeks to return my deposit, 'because of the snow'. They aren't interested in dealing with problems and they were utterly unprofessional....

Messages never get passed on, they have a shockingly relaxed attitude to complaints and even slag each other off to you. Quite frankly I don't want to get dragged into their office politics. They were totally unreliable and only working for the landlord, trying to con money out of you at every opportunity. They are liars and cheats.
