Mrs on 23rd Nov 20173 Star Review We were renting through a different agency and Jonathan Rees took over our tenancy. We have not beem notified, only found out when I had to phone up the agency and my call was forwarded to them. The lady who came to inspect the property was very nice. However every time I phone up if feel like they want to get rid of me as soon as they can and won't let me finish my sentence. For instance I sent them and email with pictured and then phoned them up because our water storage is dripping badly which made everything dripping wet under it and stinks, they did not care what I was saying just said they will have a look at my email. If I call in an emergency, would they say oh we will have a look?! Not very reassuring at all. Anyway, i gave 3 stars because they have nice staff and I don't know them enough to give worse rating but definitely not the best agent around.....can just hope no problems will occur in the future.

horrified on 17th Feb 20171 Star Review Absolutely horrific agency if you are a tenant renting. I viewed a flat with them which was a good size but filthy inside. was told it was being cleaned up as tenants only just moved out. 2 weeks later, took possession of keys from agency and was given an inventory document with a smile went to flat and it was in same condition. Had to call friends/relatives to come and help scrub flat before could move furniture in. Upon moving out, scrubbed the place clean so next tenant would not get the same shock as me. Was told check out inventory would be done and if satisfied then the deposit scheme would be informed to release deposit monies. Guidelines say this should be done within 10 working days. Not done - 20 days later, phoned and they still have not bothered to do check out inventory. AVOID at all costs if you are a tenant

I cannot tell you who they spoke to as she did not introduce herself, no shaking of hands just sat down at her desk and told them to come over.
She was arrogant, had a patronizing and superior attitude which left them feeling angry and uncomfortable.
We chose to try your agency first as we already rent locally but I am afraid you need to up your customer service training.
Where I work we are encouraged to give WOW moments of service, this was more of a LOW!

I will NEVER recommend Jonathan Rees to anyone! We've had nothing but problems with them. During our two years renting with them, we have reported several problems which took weeks (sometimes months) to sort out. Now we've bought our own house with another estate agent, they don't want to give us our deposit back as the house wasn't satisfactorily clean even though me, my husband & his parents spent 2-3 days deep cleaning it. I will add that we took the house when it hadn't been cleaned so how they can say it's not satisfactory is beyond me. Useless letting agent, don't ever use! Once they have your money, that's it! They don't care.

Having never rented out a property before we did our homework on letting agents and were impressed by what we read about Meon Valley, more so than any of the others we looked at. They were always 100% professional and very approachable. The tenants they found looked after our house, got on with the neighbours, and always paid the rent on time. The regular inspections that Meon Valley carried out always reported an immaculate house! They made the whole process of being a landlord far less daunting and we were able to hand it over with total confidence. When we first met Lorraine and Mik they explained that they would look after the property as if it were their own. This was demonstrated throughout, for example during the tenancy an issue was reported by the tenants regarding a problem with the front door and Meon Valley had it repaired and the issue resolved within an hour! The only reason we stopped using Meon Valley is because our own circumstances changed. Lorraine and Mik are reliable, trustworthy, always at the end of the phone for any questions, and a pleasure to work with. If we are ever in the situation to rent out a property again we will return to them without hesitation.

After 2 years renting our property through Meon valley lets, we were extremely satisfied with the service that Mik and Lorraine offered. They were easily contactable by phone and email and helpful to our queries.
I found the agency fees very reasonably priced, cheaper than anywhere else!

My partner and I rented our perfect 1 bedroom house for 1 year and it could not have been a more pleasant experience. When we moved in the house was spotless and had just been decorated so felt like a new home, rather than someone elses.
We had a few maintenance issues during our stay but both Mik and Lorraine would respond the same day and in most cases we had the problems fixed within a week. One was a new boiler so were incredibly grateful to have it sorted so quickly.
Check out was incredibly straight forward, early notice of what we needed to do was very helpful and going around the house together meant we could make sure everything was as it should be.
We had planned to buy an investment property and had that not fallen through would have had no hesitations in bringing in Meon Valley Lets to manage the property.

I used Jonathan Rees to find a tenant for me on a tenant find only basis. From the outset when I met with Andrew he reassured me that he would find me the right tenants for my property, within a week we had a number of viewings and found someone suitable. My wife and I had paid this agent to secure a property that was advertised as a non smoking property . On arrival this was obviously wasn't true and when we asked for a professional clean prior to the move the agent point blank refused , more importantly they didn't have the faintest idea how to treat there customers. They refused to reimburse our £300 holding deposit because they said they had paid for referencing which hadn't happened as my referees assured me they hadn't even been contacted . Stay well away !
