Rented a flat via this agency. Getting into the flat / referencing was fine. If you use them, make sure you document everything. We moved in to a dirty property that they admitted hadn't been professionally cleaned and then on check out, two years later, they try to charge us for a professional clean. 24 Mar 2017In all cases were a tenant fails a reference check the letting agent is under no obligation to refund the deposit, which is made clear to all applicants. We always strive to be fair and as flexible...

They made up the price of the survey on the spot, then sent me an invoice after they had done the survey, which charged me more than they originally said. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
