James Dean are careless, shameless and show complete disregard for tenants as soon as they have your money. They were very helpful to me right up until I signed the contract. Since then they ignore emails, don't follow up on maintenance action without me having to pester them and don't follow up on complaints. In short James dean do not care about the welfare of any of their tenants. Disgusting....

Rob has been very positive right from the beginning of our sale agreement and was always in hand to help with any queries, worries or concern we had throughout the whole selling process. We rent a few properties out and James Dean are excellent lettings agents. Easy and straight forward to deal with - they take the stress out of being a landlord. Issues that always crop up from time to time are dealt with in a very easy and calm way. A special mention for Chantelle who is always a delight to deal with and the whole team are great....

We are first time landlords and required lots of informations do support from James Dean. Chantelle was confident and professional, and she found a tenant for our property within 48 hours. For the past nine years I have been using the services of James Dean as a letting and selling agent. Adam and Marcus were extremely efficient and helpfull in selling my property . James Dean are very helpful when moving into the property and signing tenancies etc, however since moving in, all issues we have had with the property take approx 4 weeks and phone calls everyday to actually have fixed. Not only that, they insist on inspecting the property every 4 months (not in our contract), on top of boiler inspections and other landlord issues, which granted is not James Deans fault, but on top of everything else, does come close to affecting out right to quite enjoyment and...

In my opinion Adam Watkins gave us an accurate valuation as to the value of our home, and was confident that he would achieve close to his valuation. He was also confident that our house would sell quickly. His confidence was perfectly justified as we achieved a good price and the property was under offer after about 10 days. They are absolutely fantastic and their sales pitch of pulling you in and as soon as they take the money you literally never hear from them again. They are a disgrace. Their management service is non existent even though you have paid extra for the service. They NEVER and respond to any emails and totally refuse to manage the property. They are rude and unhelpful and a complete waste of space. DO NOT USE THEM....

Bit slimy, property had problems, whether they raised them with the seller I\'ll never know, in the end we just bought the property so we could stop dealing with them, I think they initially over priced it massively too, would not use them or recommend. Also they didn\'t know enough about the property. They really confirmed my belief that agents don\'t actually do anything they just pick up a bit of easy cash as people believe we have to go through agents....

Martin did come across as much more competent than the his \'property management\' colleagues based at the Reigate office. I was a little annoyed about a number of issues which included being presented with an initial contract with the monthly rent more than we previously agreed. And also not being informed that new tenants were found for the property. In fairness with regards to this he did phone me to apologise which I do appreciate....

Throughout my short tenancy I came across an alarming number of issues with Kayley (property manager) at the Reigate Office. These included trying to charge me a referencing fee to add my partner as a permitted occupant (despite having previously being told by Stacey that referencing is only needed when adding a new tenant). Kayley also tried to increase my rent liability after vacating the property by claiming that my notice period would need to be longer than stated in the contract. (Again I successfully challenged this). Other issues included trying to get me to sign a twelve month contract when my partner was added as a permitted occupant, which was against my wishes. I feel that at every step of the way mistakes were made, and when I consider the fee\'s which are charged by James Dean I would expect a much better service delivered by competant persons. Compared to other estate agents which I have dealt with James Dean as an organisation fall well short of the standard of service which I have received elsewhere.

Chantelle was very friendly and very helpful in organizing me and my partner to move into our first place together. As it was our first time in renting we had lots of silly little questions to ask but Chantelle was very understanding and explain everything in plain English (no estate agent jargon) even after we had moved in and had afew issues with the flat, Chantelle was swift in resolving the issues. overall I would highly recommend the guys down at James Dean....
