I had excellent service from the James Anderson estate agents. Through their contacts and marketing, a purchaser for my property was found within 8 days. When that person lost her buyer and had to pull out, Jack Gardiner worked hard to find me, successfully, another buyer. I can't fault Henry and the team at James Anderson - East Sheen Branch, starting with valuation by Anthony (who was sensitive to my mother's situation), through to viewings and sale. Henry Moloney and Charlie Powell under management of Anthony Bell did an excellent job on selling our house. During the sale we were regularly informed about viewings, provided with feedback from potential buyers and detailed suggestions about next step. We recently purchased a home through James Anderson with Henry as the selling agent. We had quite a long wait between the acceptance of our offer and the actual completion of the purchase. James Anderson stood out because they put a team in place who energetically worked their database to ensure maximum exposure for my property in a difficult market. Henry provided an excellent service and we believe was instrumental in ensuring our house was sold at offer price within our agreed time period. Henry kept us fully informed throughout the whole process and was very honest when events did not necessarily go our way which for us was very important. *They were unable to sell my flat despite being on the market with them for over 6 months. (The next agent I used sold in a few months). They would sometimes come round with prospective customers without arranging with me first. When I told them I no longer wanted to use them, they wouldnt return the keys. The silly girl said she had posted them through my letter box. What a liar. The manager refused to do anything. These people are prime examples of why estate agents have a bad name....

We arranged and conducted over 30 viewings for your property and provided regular feedback to keep you appraised of developments. After a 2 year let the flat was returned to me smelling strongly of cigarettes and with nicotine stains on walls and ceilings, forcing premature redecoration. JA maintain that there was no evidence of the same during their inspections (ie for the first 1 year and 8 months). The tax year statement was wrong for this year and for the last. Gary Gibbons has resurfaced at James Anderson Estate Agents as Lettings Director. I found out after a friend advised me that Gary told him to pay his move in monies to him directly. We have advised the guardian newspaper to follow up and trading standards. Avoid this new company so this doesn\'t happen again...

Please note that Mr Gibbons worked for the company for a very short period of time and is no longer employed by or associated with James Anderson. In addition, we will never allow any monies to be paid directly to a member of staff and fully comply with the rules and regulations that govern the transfer of funds during a sale, purchase or letting of a property.....

Having used a number if competitors locally, I have found the level of professionalism of the rentals team to be second to none. Not only finding me a lovely tenant quickly, they have been continued to be helpful throughout the whole process. My tenant has also been very complimentary too, which was reassuring....

I appointed James Anderson as managing agent for my flat as I was moving overseas. Unfortunately, the same haste was not exercised when returning our money a year later. What agent could do to change your mind?
I would use James Anderson again if they stopped using cynical tactics to fleece you out of your money. I consider this about as likely as hell freezing over because estate agents are all the same.

Hi, I am sorry for the experience you have had with returning your deposit. We work on instructions for the landlord on all deposit deductions and cliams and we are unable to release any monies without agreement from both parties or the tenancy deposit scheme for which you deposit would have been registered. This complaint will be acknowledged within three working days of receipt and an investigation undertaken. A formal writtenoutcome of the investigation will be sent to you within 15 working days. If you remain dissatisfied you will need to write to the Lettings Director at James Anderson, Lambourn House, 17 Sheen Lane, London, SW14 8HY. The same limits will apply. Following the investigation of our Lettings Director a written statement of James Anderson’s final view will be sent to you, this will include any offer made. This letter will confirm that you are entitled if dissatisfied to refer the matter to the Property Ombudsman for review.
