I dealt with the Harrogate branch of Hunters while house hunting a few months ago and found them to be very pushy. I rang to arrange a viewing on a house and whilst on the call was asked if I wanted to arrange an appointment with their mortgage broker - I declined as we already had already met our financial advisor to discuss mortgages. I would strongly advice anyone trying to rent out or renting from hunters to rethink. I have been in contact with my ex landlord, and both are very unhappy with how the agency have dealt with sending back the deposit. The only way they have managed to get a terrible rating is because I couldn't give anything lower. Used Hunters in Hull to rent our house. They were inconsistant with information and actually did not have a lot of the information we needed. I had an agent for 26 weeks before I spoke to Kevin after receiving his letter. We all of a sudden had regular amount of people through the door and they got me a price i was happy with. What was really helpful that they had a representative at every booking/viewing we had, and on top of that they even helped me negotiate on the bungalow i bought. I would most certainly recommend....

They sold my house, that\'s what they are they for, so job done! They held viewings without me as I have moved south and I left them to it, they were very flexible around holding onto my keys and lending them to tradesmen or my family when they needed them. I was very happy with the service that Alex from Hunters provided. He was always on hand for help and advise. I was impressed that he did all viewings and also went the extra mile and helped me out by showing the building society surveyor around to save me taking a day off work. I would not hesitate to recommend Hunters in Stalybridge and would definitely use them again....

Couldnt do enough for me. Great team took time to sell due to market at the time but the team tried everything, re did photos and wording.Always somebody at the end of the phone to talk to and help with worries. Able to talk on personal level became like friends. Supplied plenty of viewings ken on the ball with questions . Cant say enough how pleased i am with the service . Highly recommended not moving again for years now but would use again....

I have used Hunters for the last year, since they took over my old letting agents in Stoke Newington. I let my property through them using their \'fully managed\' service (I put the phrase in brackets for a reason). You should try delivering the basic services that you\'re sellling. Having staff for more than a few weeks would help, as would some communciation of any changes to your \'customers\'. You seem to have forgotten what you\'re being paid for. You are one of the worst agents that I\'ve dealt with, and I haven\'t been impressed with any so far. A pitiful industry.

Be transparent and consistent during the bidding process Work hard for the buyer to obtain a reasonable price - not just the seller Maintain Hunter company policies during the bidding process, rather than agreeing to random bids. Hunters York gave us excellent service, they did all the viewings whilst we were away on holiday, and sold the house in less than 2 weeks (although below value). The friendly office staff kept us informed at all times, and we would happily recommend them to anyone looking for an estate agent in York. We have also used them in the past with no problems....

I currently rent a property from them. I have countlessly told them there are problems within it but they do nothing, waiting until the end of tenancy I believe to charge you for it and take your deposit. When I finish with them I will not go back. The staff are very unhelpful and not worthy of employment and some of them are very very rude like everyone else has mentioned. Save your money and avoid. This website is a complete nonsense. There is more than one Hunters in the UK and there is no validation process that the comments relate to the correct company. Ladies at the Leeds branch are very rude and unhelpful. The lady who showed us the flats had so little interest in what we are looking for and had bored face all throught the viewing, didn't tell us anything about the flats. Hunters acted for us on several occasions, always achieved a good rent and dealt with the prospective tenants in a very proactive way. We received feedback on every viewing and would recommend their tenant find and inventory services to anyone. Nobody likes paying agents but in this case I feel we have always had good value....

Appalling! The initial meeting with agent one was ok as he was friendly but new at the job. Showed us a few flats til we decided on one we liked. Went to sort the paper work out, signed and paid deposit. Made an offer on a property they had for sale. They withheld material facts from us which resulted in us pulling out. They then rang (presumably out of desperation for a fee) and falsified that someone else was going to buy the property - did we want to make another offer!!! The biggest mistake I did is renting through this letting agent. Two months down now since I left the property and they keep lying saying the deposit was sent (cheque) for the third time. I sent them a special delivery envelope to send me the cheque in 10 days ago, and did not recieve any yet! Will see them in court hopefully soon.
