I rented for 2 years from them and they where just the worse...they are impossible to deal with., definitely need to undergo a course in customer service...told them of several repairs which where needed....instead of fixing them I was charged with them at the end of tenancy. 24 he maintenance team? Pfft yeah okay then you tell them of an issue and best case scenario is someone will attempt to fix it in about 3 days... Constantly changing management as well there where 4 in the two years I lived...

Staff are friendly and helpful. Move in bit was easy. A few things have needed doing in the flat but have always been sorted the same day by Woj (at least I think that is his name??)....

Rubbish and deceitful, when you meet them upfront for the viewing they are all nice. However, when the deposit is payed they will pressurize you! I would not recommend them....

I have been very happy renting from Homelife lettings, I have just moved out and handed my keys over today. Unfortunately and to my disappointment, they did not have an available property when I wanted to move closer to work, the staff have all been great especially Andy England and the maintenance man Vortex. Absolutely amazing letting agent, Claire was really helpful with all the initial paperwork and sorting out my tenancy. Really fast response to any issues with the property and really understanding. The property was pristine when i moved in. Home life treat you as a person rather than just another tenant, everyone you speak to at the office is always really warm and friendly. I highly recommend them....

Right from the start Homelife have been great. We\'ve had various situations we have required their assistance on, on a number of occasions and both Claire and Andrew have been great. Can\'t thank them enough for their help with our property. Maintenance issues have been addressed with pretty much instantly, the maintenance team in addition to the two mentioned above - are great. Very pleasant, friendly and happy to help....

Mixed feelings about Homelife. I rented from them from the year 2011-2013 and have had totally different experiences both years. At the end of our 2011 term (June 2012), we were paid a visit by Andy on the day we were due to move out and into another property (also by Homelife). Andy was completely lovely during the house inspection, anything that we could fix he told us how to and also gave us time to do it (thus to minimize money being taken from our deposit). I don't normally write reviews, but in the case of Homelife Lettings I feel compelled to. As a university student, I have just spent one year in a house in the Portswood area of Southampton. Whilst I agree it was our decision to move in there, I certainly wished we hadn't. There was mould in the corners of rooms, the furniture was decrepit, beds and wardrobes fell apart, and the entire kitchen was outdated. Having just moved out of one of Homelife\'s properties in Tennyson Road I wanted to eave a review to say how happy I have been with the service. As a student I am aware that they get a lot of bad press however this was just not the case with us. They visited us a number of times before we moved out. Irresponsible agents. All they see and all they know is to make you sign your papers as fast as possible and pull out money from you. And of course you need to pay as soon as possible, cause once you pay, you will never see your money back. That is the best of their strategies. Without even renting out a property or doing any services for you, they will keep your money and they are not ashamed to tell you, your money are not refundable! This is a monkey business!!!! I had absolutely no problems with Homelife at all. From the very first moment up until the end of my tenancy they could not have been more helpful. Any issues I had with the property - of which there were few - were always fixed and sorted quickly. Every staff member I have dealt with was lovely and polite. I\'ve had a very Good stay in England, partially because of my accommodation. The rent was very doable and If something needed relapair the agency would send someone the next day. I would definetely recommend it....

On moving day - I arrived at the property to find cleaners at work - told them I would not leave my stuff in the way of their cleaning in the upstairs bathrooms to be told that they had already been cleaned - which was appalling. When things break, they are very slow to respond if at all. Even though the staff are friendly, they clearly do not understand how to run a business as they are extremely disorganised and do not carry out work as intended. We were promised that the carpets would be industrially cleaned not long after we moved in, this did not happen. The fridge/ freezers which they are contractually obliged to provide are in poor working condition and do appear to have been PAT tested. Have discussed with tenant concerned and confirmed that all test certificates are current and in place and that the problems with viewing disruption was predominantly other agents who share our property listings. The shower problem has been rectified and the delay was due to parts being on order to rectify shower problem. In an ideal world any issues with faulty equipment is rectified immediately but unfortunately we dont . It just shows how a smattering of small problems can quickly escalate....

My son and his friend paid a deposit of £1105 after being shown around a flat to be rented in 5 months time (Home Life Lettings originally wanted £2000! YES £2000). They were told 3 days later that the flat was available NOW, could they take it? The answer was obviously \'no\' as they were still in contract with current landlord (this was to be a flat for the following student term). This is an important point as THEY effectively changed the rental commencement date from June, 5 month...

They could return the £280 that they kept for showing 2 students around a flat, which THEY then effectively withdrew by bringing the date forward so as to make it an unacceptable option.

Homelife from the beginning have been incredibly helpful, whether it be when we first viewed the property, fitting in around or schedule through to the signing on the property and the correspondence we received in the build up to our tenancy. The property was in poor decor when we moved in so much so that some of our parents came round to help us decorate. When we moved out we were presented with a rediculous bill for decorating and making good faults that were there when we moved in!
