Awful company. Poor quality maintenance work - they use the cheapest materials at hand and workmen who can't complete a job to satisfaction. During the last job the did for me the workman damaged my kitchen, which the company refused to repair - they're full of excuses and Daniel is the rudest person I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Avoid this agency if you have any desire for jobs to be done professionally or want a letting agency that treats people with respect....

Again this tenant has decided to post another bad review on a site. Again we will reply to the vindictive and petty nature of this tenant to explain what was so tragic it has scarred his being. On another site GM bemoaned that he had to threaten legal action to get work done, this was a lie and I notice he hasnt put this in his latest complaint. He also hasnt put that he cannot wait for his contract that he is stuck in to end, we spoke to the landlord and offered him the chance to leave at hi ...

Had the worst experience with Holland Properties involving the purchase of a flat belonging to one of their directors, Selina Westerman. Back in April I made an offer on a flat that was accepted, and quickly sorted out my mortgage with the bank and arranged for a surveyor to visit the property. Everything went smoothly until the tenants didn't vacate after the 2 months notice expired. This obviously held everything up but I was told not to worry and that the eviction order would happen quickly...

I can completely understand the frustration for this buyer and it was a personal situation that I experienced unrelated to Holland Properties that prevented me from going ahead with selling the property. The sale had taken 5 to 6 months to proceed due to having to evict the tenant from the property (who also decided to stop paying rent) and unfortunately my circumstances changed during this time so I could no longer proceed. As well as the loss of rent I have also paid Walter the cost of his so ...

I have been bullied by Holland Properties to pay for inspection of damage which they insisted I caused. Although the inspection provided there was no fault on my part, they have not repaid me as agreed, and neither have they carried out the repair. I have been living with a potentially dangerous broken hob for about 9 months. The engineer told me not to use it but still Holland Properties have ignored my emails and telephone calls. I am now going to withhold the rent as this is probably the only...

Dear Ms J, as you know we are aware of this issue and whilst your comments aren't quite as straightforward as you purport and miss out a large part of the discussion that were on going throughout the issue we appreciate your frustrations over the matter and apologise for this. In the interest of putting our side across, you reported that the ceramic glass hob had cracked whilst you were wiping it (or possibly it cracked whilst you weren't at the property), obviously this is an unusual circumstan ...

hello, unfortunately you did not clarify exactly who lied to you or what they lied about to make you so upset, if you would kindly relay this information then we can look into the matter further. It would be a most unusual occurrence that an employee would lie to you as this benefits no one including Holland Properties as generally the lie would always surface and any repercussions dealt with. ...

I let a flat from Holland Properties recently and had it in writing prior to signing the tenancy agreement that they would put blinds in the flat within 14 days depending on the blind company availability. Nearly 3 weeks later I am told they haven\'t received approval for a quote from the landlady so the blinds haven\'t been ordered and I\'m left with light streaming through my window from 5am. Yet their letter leads me to believe they have had permission. They haven\'t given me any oidea of ...

[[EDIT ORIGINAL START]] It is no surprise that this tenant, Rebecca Smiley, has made such a review, after almost 15 years in the industry I have never experienced such an unreasonable tenant. Should anyone actually wish to see the actual truth and evidence of how we have tried to help and resolve the situation for her then please contact me on Daniel@hollandproperties.co.uk and you will be welcome to see the 20 pages of email going over the same thing repeatedly where she ignores all attempts t ...

Dear sir/ madam Thank you for your review. As you must know tenants deposits are now protected by The Tenancy Deposit Scheme which means that no amount of money can be wrongfully withheld for damage or misuse of a property unless it has actually been done. Holland properties use an Independant inventory company to check our tenants into a property and we use the same one to check them out. Only if there is a discrepancy between the tenant moving in and the tenant moving out can we charge. ...

This Estate agency is absolutely nightmare. I was looking to rent a house £1800 a month and they ask me for 6 weeks rent and 5 months rent upfront which is £10500 and rest of them in 6 months so thats 20k in 6 months. I can't even understand how stupid agents is working there. Never deal with them. They just will rip you off with referencing fee £250 and then will give you option like mine....

Dear Mr Simas, I am sorry that you feel this way. The only reason we would ever request that amount of rental up front would be due to you having unsatisfactory references. Our standard procedure is to take 6 weeks rent as a deposit and the first months rental, however in some circumstances we offer the alternative of taking a longer period up front so that we are able to accomodate you in your property search. We took an inital holding deposit of £420.00 from you, however when the let di ...
