Absolute disgusting company. I started my tenancy at number 5 Cosy Flats, Wilmot Street, Heanor with them at the beginning of January 2017 and spent 8 months at the flat ending the tenancy with my final leaving date the 26th August. During my stay there no bins where provided for the tenants or myself and where left with no where to dispose of our rubbish, I contacted the council and they told me that Hall and Benson where not very co operative with them in regards to the issue of not providing ...

This company is an absolute joke. We have been renting our house for over two years and we still have the same leek that we reported nearly two years ago. Now our boiler is giving us problems and it's taking them forever to sort it. All they do is send people out to "have a look" but it never gets fixed. I've lost count of the amount of times we've had to report issues that never get fixed. Also the staff at the allestree branch are very rude. My mother who is paying the rent even got ...

I have rented from this company. There had been many repairs needed and they don't care to do them after complaining several times. When I vacated they didn't allow for general ware and tair of the property they accused me of not sweeping or washing the floors when I have my dad and friend as witness to prove that it was done. I cleaned throughout on my hands and knees whilst pregnant and suffering from a bad back. DONT USE HALL AND BENSON!! I seriously regret having made a deal with the devils!...

I wish you could put no stars on this website!! Absolutely discusted in the way I have been spoken to by a member of staff at the Allestree branch. Nothing but push and push is into paying the application fee. Told they were refundable when we went to view the property (which was an absolute state might I add) to find out they are not. We have just recently sold our property through Hall and Benson, the team in Spondon were fantastic from start to finish. We had an awful chain with a few problems along the way but the team at Hall and Benson helped us through without question. A special mention for Kim who on several occasions went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you very much for all your work it was truly appreciated....

I thought when I got a call from the selling agent and was asked `do i want to keep the microwave?I thought I do not need one and said No `what I was not told` is that it was integrated into the Kitchen and worth £300+.I was left with cables and a huge ugly gap in where the `built` in microwave oven once stood. We are current tenants of H+B. Me and my family moved towns to be near a good hospital and family for my medical needs, I have had nothing but stress from this company. They do not want to know when it comes to repairs, when I looked around and pointed problems out, I was lied to saying either 'we have checked that and its fine' or 'that will be fixed before you move in'. When we moved in a window had been broken (wasn't fixed for 8 weeks!!!) and all the problems promised to be fixed still haven...

My rent I have found compared to others in my are is shocking. We pay an extra 175.00 more than most on our street and they don't have to put up with a house falling apart

Hall & Benson are currently dealing with the sale of my property and seem to be spending all of their time pandering to my buyers demands rather than my requirements. The house was sold with no assistance from H&B as we found a buyer before any sales particulars were generated. In error H&B did not change the sales particulars and are now threatening us that because the particulars show "No upward chain" we could be forced from our home 10 days prior to our required movi...

What agent could do to change your mind?
It would have been appreciated if the agent could have worked on my behalf rather than my buyers as I am the one paying the significant bill for their lack of services and professionalism. Being harassed by a pushy agent because they told everyone involved there was no upward chain when quite clearly there is is unacceptable. Subsequently trying to push the blame onto us despite never having to publish any sales particulars is inexcusable. Taking it upon themselves to contact every solicitor, agent etc in the chain was also highly unprofessional. I will never use Hall & Benson again.

Whilst I believe the levels of fees are around average I certainly do not believe Hall & Benson have done anything to earn their fee. They have simply made a stressful situation worse and are very close to causing the whole chain to collapse.

Hall & Benson come and inspect the properties of their occupants every couple of months. They let you know via a letter one week before the date they\'re coming to look round, and if you can\'t do the date/wont be home you have to let them let themselves in to look around or pay £20 to rearrange it to another date. I think it\'s terrible as most people wouldnt want a stranger going around their home whilst theyre not there and its very late notice to get time off work in order to be ho...

The agent should have not gone against our wishes and let themselves into our home unoccupied when it had been agreed that the inspection would have been moved to a later date when we could be there.

We veiwed a lot of houses with different estate agents, but both properties we veiwed with hall &benson were god awful! The estate agent turned up half an hour late, she was then very pushy, we asked odd questions about the property and she replied with \'i dont know\' on both accounts, she mDe it very clear she eother wantex our money right there or she wasnt interested. The properties themselves were unclean yo the extreme, falling to bits and disgusting, i wouldnt even consider them!...

First of all she could of turned up at the time agreed, second actually let us veiw the propefty before foring the agreements and payments upon us. Actually taken the time to know what property she was taking about. So pretty much retrain your staff to actually look like they care?

i would avoid renting any property with Hall and Benson.i have rented with quite a few different agents and never had such bad service as i have with H&B. Any repairs you want doing will take them as long as possible to do.I have had many repairs for the property i rent as the house seems to have had every poss problem going! leaks and plumbing prob in every room of the house! I have a plumbing ptoblem at the moment which i have reported endless times,eventually after calling the repairs...

They will eagerly take money off of you as soon as they can for the slightest thing but will take their sweet time fixing anything, it took Hall and Benson over 4 months to fix our boiler each day my heavily pregnant partner had to climb up the kitchen work top to get it going again and when we reported our gas safety check took a mere 10 minutes when any check should take at least 20 (one test requires a 10 minute wait) our concerns were shrugged off with a "Well we haven't had any problems yet...
