I have had recent dealings with these people. Goodness, they really don't want to talk to you! No matter how many times you call them, it's always we'll call you back, and they never do! My mother passed away recently, and her house now has to be sold. There was an equity release scheme in place, and unfortunately they own 60% of the house. Grainger is possibly the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. They attempt to have little to no communication with you, unless you threaten to withhold rent. They are the masters of fobbing you off and constantly seem to be "on leave" so unable to respond to your requests/questions. I would highly recommend NOT using Grainger as a property manager if possible....

Communicate with us, be responsive, be apologetic when things go wrong, treat us fairly in terms of reimbursement for days when the property was unliveable...

This company let us live in a mouldy premises and refused to acknowledge the problem. Also failed to put an extractor fan in, and would not give me any discount of my rent despite the fact a huge amount of my belongings had been damaged by mould....

Both tenancy I have been in were taken over by grainger. They buy propertys then auction them giving little information to the tenant. They lost the paper work and bank details for all 6 student tenants multiple times. You never speak to the same person twice and they pass you off to others in wrong departments. They are terrible to get hold of when problems occur. They tried to take rent from tenants who left and we\'re fully paid up. They post forms and notices two weeks after printing them...

There\'s too much they have to fix. They need to stop acquiring properties, making excuses and fix their entire internal system.

Difficult to deal with, never accommodating. After I left I had rent removed from my account after I left. Staff dont know anything about you or the property. Disorganised with a high staff turnover - about 10 different people in 2 years I dealt with....

What agent could do to change your mind?
No steal my money, give me compensation for bank charges and time sorting it out. They could just be nice instead of constantly quoting from the tenancy agreement. This is from a tenant who carried out their own maintenance, painting & put up with rather substandard equipment but continued to pay \'market rate\' for the property - I think it\'s really bad to treat people who could have been there for years the same as new tenants.

I do not recommend them at all. I have been waiting 3 weeks to move in to the house they are managing - to this day they have failed to respond to my e-mails unless continuously chased, have not given me a contract and the keys are a myth...as well as extra costs they drop on you! They had the nerve to start the tenancy agreement 2 weeks ago when I am still not allowed to move in. It is seriously awful - the customer service is so poor and I have never experience anything so pitiful- it\'s as if...
