I rang the Maida Vale branch a couple of weeks ago to enquire about the possibility of selling my apartment. I could not believe the arrogant haughty attitude of an * - Rachid who talked down to me as though I were a second class citizen. His colleague - a man called Adam was just as arrogant, he spoke down to me in a feigned fake posh voice. Told me that their company had a minimum fee of £10,000!. All I can say is that with their nasty arrogant attitude and over the top fee, I won...

Comment on agent fees
Do not use this agent. Arrogant, Rude and Over Priced, I thought that Foxtons took the award for having the snobbiest rudest staff with the most extortionate fees but these guys are even worse. β€š£10,000 minimum fee? Dream On! You are not worth a third of that!.

Mark from G&H was an excellent, supportive agent all the way through the selling process, which was, for us, incredibly bumpy along the way. having lost an offer and changed Agents, Mark and the team kept the viewings up, despite a quiet market and never pushed us to make a decision, to rush anything through or applied any form of pressure/hard sell at all. This was even to the point where we were considering pulling out at the last minute (due to a price chip), he was still supportive tow...

The agency was OK up to the point when move out notice was given. We have given a 2 months notice as contractually obliged. We ordered a professional house clean and also did carpet cleaning. Then only 10 working days after moving out date the agency got back to us that they are planning to do some deductions from the deposit. They didn't really indicate the total amount of deductions and clarify for what for. Initially they wanted to clam money for a carpet cleaning of a stain which was left b...

What agent could do to change your mind?
1. More proactive interaction and facilitation of quickest resolution including interests of both parties (landlord/tenant) 2. No delays and quick payment of non-disputed deposit amount 3. Not making attempts to do maintenance work on tenant\'s account

Goldschmidts have a good reputation but the service in the Hampstead office was far from good as noone ever returns calls and when you do all the properties they advertise are Β’Γ’β€šΒ¬Γ‹Ε“Just Let'! Their management was also very poor and the nail in the coffin was that they took 4 months to return our deposit....

Not bad. I viewed the property after following up on two phone calls to the agency which unfortunately weren\'t returned, and made an offer at the full asking price based on several conditions I needed approved before signing. Referencing was a bit painful - although my record is not as continuous as I would like it to be for a long time Londoner, this has not proven to be an issue for my previous two Estate Agencies and their Referencing agencies. It turned out to be a real sticking point here....

An agent at G&H represented the landlord of a flat that my wife and 2 small children rented just over a year ago. I assume that G&H has some internal procedure whereby they ensure a property is up to some minimum standard before taking on a landlord client. If they had, they would have known that the property failed a recent electrical inspection which listed 6 Priority One faults. We didn't get the results of the inspection until after we had moved in; of course by that time it was t...

What agent could do to change your mind?
The lettings agent could have simply responded to our queries in an honest manner; ignoring is never an acceptable option for even a lettings agent.

I have now waited almost 2 months for my deposit after moving out. Landlord said he is happy and no deductions were made. Every time I called G&H they said that they will deal with the matter and always had the same excuses. I am now planning legal action. Contract said they had to give deposit back after 10 days....

Incredibly proffesional from initial valuation through to collecting keys on the day of completion with constant informative feedback at every step through the process. A total contrast from the other High Street agent previously appointed, in a league of their own....

I called them to arrange a viewing and they were very polite over the phone, but... The agent was 15' late on our appointment and did not bother to apologise. Also during the viewing I asked several important questions about the property and the agent was unable to provide me with any detailed information. They only came to the property to open the door really. I would categorise them as unprofessional and very expensive on their fees for such incompetence....

Goldschmidt & Howland have been, at every step of the way, very unwilling to help or follow through with promises. They have cost us money, time, and stress. Examples of this include: outright lying regarding 3 separate issues, after our offer was put in and money was on the table. As well, they failed to put through necessary paperwork on two occasions. This significantly altered our plans on several occasions. Under NO circumstances would I deal with Goldschmidt & Howland, either as a Tena...
