We were looking at renting a flat in the Barbican, we had several viewing with Frank Harris' property agent Robert Sayers and finally liked one and decided to make an offer. Obviously Frank Harris is working on behalf of the landlords but does not even bother contacting them to let them know about our offers but just say no to us. Back to zero, we had other visits and agreed to rent another one without any negotiation possible. We are contractor and even with a 6 months contact earning ‚...

Comment on agent fees
They charged us with reference fee even though they wouldn't deal with us anymore.

Despite requesting my details were not input into a general system such that I got a lot of junk mail this was done. despite being promised that I would not get contacted on properties that did not match my criteria, this was done. Whilst properties I did have interest in were not replied to, nor followed up on. Getting Cora to reply to emails has not been fruitful and requests to be sent information only on properties we discussed has not been done. Frank Harris are not able to give a tailored ...

I signed a contract for these people a few years ago to let and manage my flat. What a mistake. They did find a tenant but didn\'t mention that he was an alcoholic and frankly dodgy character. Every repair that was done through their management was shoddy and lowered the value of my property, the property was not checked regularly for damage as per their contract and any time I called about anything other than money (which they were rabidly interested in) they fobbed me off and frankly misrepres...

What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have done their job properly The only person I delt with who did do her job properly was the woman in the account section. They made sure that was efficient enough.

They are very rude and ironic. They lied to us for many things and the contract we signed it benefits the agents and the landlord. It is like the tenant has no rights. They are awful and I will never cooperate with them. They are not professional at all. Be careful what you sign!!...

The staff working here are rude, aggressive and condersending..... This estate agent is very good at holding tenants to ransom.... If you renew your tenancy with Frank Harris really look at what your are being forced into signing... addendums to a tenancy are unneccessary and only allow the agent to alter the terms and conditions of the original agreement to benefit themselves!! BEWARE..... Head of Lettings... M C, is a real P*G, rude, nasty and a total m*ppet.... STAY CLEAR OF THIS AGENT!.....

Absolutely atrocious staff. Chris Bickles in particular is one of the rudest most unintelligent person I've ever met. Would NOT recommend this estate agent to anyone. Incapable of even getting an email address or your name correct in spite of having it written down in front of them. Truly lazy, careless and rude people. No one has a clue what they are doing and they are no better than thieves when it comes to deposits and agent's fees. DO NOT USE THIS AGENT....

What agent could do to change your mind?
Better manners. Know what they are talking about. Be helpful. Not fail to tell us about extra charges and then blame it on us. Hire literate people. Remember that an estate agent's job is, in theory, not necessary. Therefore instill some faith into the mind of the client to reassure them that they will make the process smoother, rather than utterly appalling. Know what their contract actually says. When a customer has a lawyer look over the contract (in the way that one should and the way that it states on the contract) don't try to tell the lawyer about the point of the contract and say ' sometimes you just have to take a risk'...hate to break it to you but contracts were CREATED to minimise risk. Equally don't then threaten said lawyer with the small scale firm you use when said Lawyer works for one of the biggest firms in the world, as Senior Partner!

Dear 'Disappointed' It may be pertinent when baselessly accusing some one of being unintelligent because of misspelling a name to actually spell their name correctly as well as using correct grammar. This should add some much needed gravitas to an otherwise tawdry attempt to anonymously devalue an Agent or Company. My personal experience of dealing with Frank Harris and Company and in particular Chris Brickles was nothing short of a pleasure. The process of renting can be a daunting experi....

Nice people, good service while we were there. But once we left they set about trying to screw as much cash as possible from us. Don't bother cleaning a flat rented from these guys as they'll charge you for cleaning anyway. And be prepared for mysterious charges for "exceeding normal wear and tear". It's costing us plenty - be warned!...
