The worst agents I have ever dealt with. Extremely rude and unproffesional. I highly recommend avoiding them. They did their upmost to scheme as much money out of us as possible but were unbelievably reluctant to stick to their half of the contract when giving money back such as deposits. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, fees are extortionate, attitude is patronising and condescending. They certainly cannot compose letters as only reply by emails and do not abide by Netiquette. THEY DO NOT USE THE ADR as recommended by the DPS and if they don't agree you will end up taking them to court or lose the whole of your deposit as it cannot be released. What agent could do to change your mind?
Problems are as stated. Perhaps being professional and knowing the law might help, as well as being polite and courteous. Changing their attitudes and business conduct and ethics.
Comment on agent fees
They will harass one party in a tenancy to get their fees. As I was new to renting I was not really aware of how steep these were. I have now been advised otherwise, but too late.

Shockingly bad, just awful. Terribly rude, obnoxious and threatening staff. Blatant lies about the property and safety issues. Often refused to speak on the telephone saying they were too busy. Did not reply to my emails. Did not stick to appointment times or visit when scheduled. Would not make necessary repairs. I would highly recommend you avoid this agent. It's just not worth the hassle and distress of dealing with them....

I have never had to deal with such an unprofessional, shoddy agency such as Forrest before. Everything is unorganised from their "broom cupboard" of an office to the way they try and deal with you on the phone if god forbid you ever have a problem with the property you have rented from them. Then there is the matter of their extortionate fees (£100) for a tenancy renewal which they ask for after just 6 months of moving in to a rented property and their shocking Tenancy Agreement ...

After I booked my appointment I did a thing where I viewed 2 of the accommodations that I liked and the woman was quite nice and one was already furnished, not too sure about the other one though. All they know how to do is threaten you with legal action all the time. Every comment I have read here testifies to that. If you are a landlord, read these comments, your tenants will be mistreated! If you are a prospective tenant, don't pay them one pence, run as quickly as you can through that door and don't look back. Your bank account will thank you!...

I feel for you - I am now experiencing very similar problems. I'm wondering if you might be able to help me - we have no idea what to do and are currently looking at legal action. Rip off rip off rip off!!!!!! That's all I have to say. They rip you off when you no longer are their tenants. AVOID AVOID AVOID. A one star rating is too good for them, can there be negative stars? Because they can wait for up to 6 years to charge you for damages, they do just that! Thank goodness the DPS came in and changed all that. I would never recommend them to anyone that I care about. I would not even recommend them to my worst enemy....

I have rented 3 properties through these guys over the last 5 years and the are awsome. They are proffessional, friendly and flexible. I guess I never had any bad dealings with them because I treated them with respect and they treated me with respect in return. I think they do a great job and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone - well done girls keep up the good work!!!...

OMG, this estate agent doesn't even deserve 1 star. Not only was the property NOT secure when we moved in (we couldn't lock back door, and the front door could be pushed open) they did nothing about it for nearly a week. They had been constantly rude, calling us names, for example, when we we're planning to leave and rent elsewhere, they called us 'council estate, housing benefit tenants'. Thank goodness the DPS now exists and that tenant's deposits are protected from the actions of unscrupulous landlords/letting agencies which seem to think the money is theirs to keep from the moment they get it.....

This small, not well known company is more than happy to offer good customer relations on the phone but as soon as you pay them any money this soon changes to a dreadful attitude of not caring or respecting you, we've been treated like dirt and it seemed like their rude manager Becky has no professionalism or any sense of customer service skills acting the same as her staff which were also rude and unhelpful, we were shocked to be treated like this and will never ever do business with a company ...

Forrest Property Services offer an extremely poor level of service. I used to be a tenant with them and had problems regarding the maintainance of the property (none was done). There were also problems with bills, they also sent out letters which they claimed to be bills. I have had problems getting back my deposit because of their bias in favour the landlord, who coincidentally(!) is the owner of Forrest Property Services. To save having any problems, stay well clear of this company!!!...

The deposit was held by yourselves and not DPS as tenancy agreement started before this existed. Try to be professional by getting your facts right.......

I agree with Saumagne, it would appear I was also a tenant at the same address as the problems discussed seem all too familar. I would avoid them like the plague. They are the most unscrupulous letting agency I know of. I moved out 4 months ago and am still fighting to get my deposit back (through small claims). One of the employees, Becky, likes to threaten you and harasses tenants. Just a visit to their office in Bracknell will show you just how unprofessional they are!...

I did not refuse to pay, you refused to return my deposit. You were taken to court and you were ordered by the judge to return of part of the deposit and you sent me a cheque. I do not think you can call this "losing my case". I did feel harassed and threatened by Becky - you now say you are taking legal advice. Its this yet another threat? When will it end? Even one star is far too generous for these thugs. Despite advertising that Forrest Property Services rent out luxury apartments at reasonable prices, and while on the surface the flats do look decent, it doesn't take long to figure out you've been had. To 2sides2astory, You ask why we stayed in that building for one year and ten months? Simple. The deposit protection scheme. Finally some protection for tenants. The scheme was introduced while we resided in your property. To avoid the nightmare we'd heard from others, we thought it best to renew our lease in order to ensure our protection. Of course that didn't protect us from the multitude of other hellish issues we endured; but you did ask.......
