Horrific customer service, outrages charges for literally doing nothing. No certainty you will get what you were promised - absolutely scandalous practices. I will never use again cause I apprecaite good night sleep not worrying about when and for how much Fenix Prperty will screw me....

fenix estate agents found a tenent for me in 2009,did all the necassary checks and the tenent were exellent in all aspects.then in 2015 i had some problems and needed vital information and documents which i could not find from 2009.i phoned fenix to see if they possibly had the relevent documents.i did not expect them to help as it was not of any benefit to them financially.but, joe, steve and all the staff i would say went to a lot of trouble to find, then email the docs to me.this to me shows...

I have used Fenix property for numerous years since they first started at the base in Sunderland. Steve does the viewings and is very good with prospective tenants and is able to communicate on any level finding out exactly what they want. Alison is the latest staff link at the office, is very personable and knows what she's talking about. As a landlord I want decent tenants quickly, and Fenix fulfil this remit perfectly. All the best for 2016 and keep up the good work....

I have my own property business (IMDJ Property Management) and manage a number of my own properties in the Sunderland South area and have done for over 10 years. I used to advertise through the local press looking for potential tenants. It was hard work and a drain on resource. I tried using letting agents in the past but ended up doing most of it myself, or so it seemed. I came across Fenix by accident and thought I would give them a go as I was tied up with my work load. I was hesitant at ...

Disappointed customer who ended up losing out on a property because of Fenix property. Luckily researched the company before committing and found that the couple who own it*. You will find this company has previously liquidated four other companies of the same name and started them up again using new company numbers. They are an absolute disgrace and should be avoided at all costs! It will only be a matter of time before their fifth company is dissolved too and don't try to find their offices in...

The landlord was more than happy to meet up with us again thank you when we got his contact details. Also Peter Ross who we have now gone through sat with us and went through everything from credit checks, references, documentation checks and the whole process was done and dusted in 40 minutes. And please don't threaten me as we found out info about yourselves that made us uncomfortable with your business. Also it is strange our landlord came to find your office and it was nicely hidden away.....

I was in the process of trying to secure a property. My partner and I had given Fenix the holding fee of £240. We then decided to investigate further after looking at reviews that in all honesty just seemed poor and after some digging we found some very interesting info. They have run the same business several times and dissolved and liquidated their company several times. The man who showed us the property as well (Steve) failed to mention he ran the company. When it was proving awkwar...

Nothing. They are not a secure company to work with and should not be in operation as they have been overdue on their accounts several times and have dissolved and liquidated their business.
Comment on agent fees
Fees seemed ok until they started telling us we had to pay the full years rent on a certain date when we offered to do so even though it was an offer on our part to speed up the process.

I have never left reviews and im not likely to in the future, however on this occasion I feel this is a must to ensure no other innocent person has to go through what we, and I can only assume, other people have been through. My partner and I paid Fenix a Holding fee of £240 (after research found to be the most expensive in the North East) for a lovely property in Newcastle. We filled all our paperwork in and was informed by the the admin team we passed all referencing and was to move ...

When my tenant left the property on 1 June, she told Fenix Property that she had said that myself, (the landlord) could keep the bond as the house was in a state. For almost 4 months now, Amanda has continually told me that she is unable to sign the tenants bond over to me when the tenant agreed as the DPS take month to agree to this ! - The DPS today confirmed it takes 5 working days after a landlord and tenant both agree. What can I say? To be lied to like this is disgusting and when I confr...

We set up a viewing of a property with Fenix. The day of our viewing, another estate agent informed us that the flat they were going to show us had already been recently let, and that Fenix were planning to show us another flat instead (which was a flat this other estate agent also represented, and of which we had already set up a viewing). We called Fenix 3 times to check whether we would be viewing the correct flat (and checked again with the other estate agent to make sure there had been no m...

Dear Jon, When a Landlord puts a property on the market they give us an address, and this is what we advise our customers for their viewing, until we hear from the Landlord that the property is no longer available we will keep marketing it and arranging the viewings. Occasionally a Landlord owns numerous properties in the same building, and calls us regularly to advise us of an update as to what is available and also what has now been let. This can change so quickly upto the time we are sta....

Dear Sir/Madam, I would be most grateful if you could call our office to discuss which property you are referring to, we have signed contracts and emails from all our Landlords authorising the marketing of their properties, therefore I am assuming you are mistaking the property for a different one especially as we are advertising it as a property of different size. May I ask why you have not contacted us at all about this? Kind Regards Fenix Property....

We placed a holding fee on a property that was offered by fenix, they seemed very eager to get this from us constantly ringing whilst we were at work stating ' you will loose the property if you do not pay today' which we did. We were then told the house would take a month to be renovated in this time we found out I was expecting a child, we kept in contact with fenix who assured us our checks were fine on there side. We finally got a viewing after 1 month at this viewing a fenix representive wa...

Needed to move into a new adress ASAP, went to view a house accepted it and payed the deposit and admin fees, then found out that someone had already did this before us and there was a similar property that we could take. We took the similar property as we were desperate and agreed that we would move into the adress on the 8th of the month, it is now 4 weeks later my furniture is still in storage that I'm paying for and I still have not got the keya to the new adress. The worst letting experience I have ever had from a letting agency. Both unprofessional and disorganised. Firstly they refused to give us a second viewing for a property we were interested in, even though our initial viewing had occured in the dark due to the electricity running out, and even after putting down the holding fee (which they\'d assured us we\'d be able to do after paying them). They have the worst and most unclear application forms I have ever completed (The guarantor form was exa...

Cowboy style approach to letting. Viewed a property in the North East through Fenix Property. Agent showed us the property that was in need of a refurbishment and clean. Agent bargained a monthly rent sum with us and the landlord whilst having the landlord on the mobile at the same time as talking to us. Agreed a monthly rental sum. Agent asked me to forward money into their account to hold the property, and stated repeatedly that this would form the deposit for the flat, which would be...

What agent could do to change your mind?
Fenix property did not respond to most of our emails asking for our money back. Correspondence was slow, and bizarly letters were signed \"Your\'s sincerely Fenix Property\". This suggested a very unprofessional approach. I have used several Newcastle and Teesside based estate agents and they have always been professional in dealing with any concerns. However, this company is NOT professional in their dealings and did not apologise or acknowledge the trouble they had caused.
