Hi Sara, I am sorry that you feel like this. We charge students and prepaid rent 3x Deposit for obvious reason, if you were reference then it would be 1.5 times the rent. As for check out, we supply you with 2 cleaning companies that you can use if you wish, they are our approved contractors that we would be happy to let into the property once you have check out. if you wished to have your cleaning done by your own cleaner then you would need to get this done on you last day of your tenancy. ...

The fees were reasonable for the property for a while (it was a very old flat), however they started to increase every year quite significantly for the last few years. The last renewal letter offer was ‚£725 pcm (quite a jump from ‚£690 pcm).

What agent could do to change your mind?
Had the agent inspected the property and took action to remedy any obvious damage before it becomes worse; water leakage down a wall was left unattended for a long time causing serious damage to the wall. The garden was spoilt and the agent refused to deal with the damage.

Don\'t be so rude. Employ some people who understand what it is to be polite and give a good service. Learn the laws (you didn\'t even know council tax law for students which is pathetic for a lettings agent.

Fees

These fees include VAT and are to be read in conjunction with our Assured Short hold Tenancy Agreement (AST).
APPLICATION FEE –
per property for initial tenancy application – £250
REFERENCING FEE – £100 per person for 12 months
this fee is non refundable.
HOLDING DEPOSIT – £200
once the holding deposit has been paid we will remove the property from the market and process your application. The remainder of the deposit (1.5 x rent) is payable once referencing is acceptable.
RENEWAL FEE – £150 for a renewal of a tenancy agreement.
