Given the cost we expected a lot more from our agent. Communication was poor, another couple showed up for a viewing after we had paid our deposit, we were issued multiple iterations of the contract with no explanation as to why, despite having finalised the move in date a month earlier, we were told that our move in date may be delayed because dexters hadnt organised the inventory count. I do not recommend Dexters!!! This estate agency is the enemy of tenants and landlords alike. They are unhelpful, rude, lazy and dishonesty is the least of their vices. We experienced terrible conditions when we first arrived in our house and not only have Dexters not been willing to fix the problems ( broken sewage and a disgusting garden to name a few) they have been disrespectful and sly....

Very unorganised and incompetence. They do not reply to emails and they completely ignore you when you ring in. I had to tell several members of staff the same issue and nothing was done to be resolved. After 6 months when I finally got through. I was rudely spoken to and lied to. I rented a flat for 14 months through dexters, it was the worst experience I've ever had. The agency didn't speak to each other and we were all told different things, we then were made to pay extra rent at the end of our tenancy due to one member of staff telling us wrong information. We needed things fixed, and none of them were in 18 months, including our oven which was dangerous. We were treated like we didn't matter. Don't remember his name, but when I popped in to speak with someone he was all the time (while I was speaking to him) looking to other customers (not even to my face) and pretending he was listening to me and solving my problem. Which he didn't. Please, remember contact face to face to a person while speaking, they will feel more listened. Terrible service, and even worst for being a Director from the branch of a agency.

Dexters are an average-to-poor estate agent but where they really fall down is their terrible property maintenance service. I have been waiting for 5 months for basic repairs to be done after a ceiling leak. Leaving us with unusable electrics. I've asked several times to get the property at least made safe but they have done nothing. I'm in the process of reporting them to the local council for this illegal state of disrepair....
