Worse experience ever. Arrogant, rude and unprofessional agent. I contacted Dexter to rent a 2 bed flat with another 2 friends. Shocking - sold my proerty whi;st living in Australia. Gave me a quote they were very confident of achieveing and then within 2 days of house being on market told me it was over-valued by 40k compared to other houses in the market. Never again! Absolutely the worst agency I have ever been in touch with. They made numerous errors during setting up our rental contract and misrepresented us in numerous occasions towards the landlords. They absolutely take no responsibility for any of their actions and always blame the landlords for everything. As a result of their behavior we had to move in 6 months and pay all the agency fees again to a different agent....

I recently found a rental property through the Dexters Barnes office and was extremely happy with the service provided from start to finish. I was shown multiple properties by a lovely gentleman named Mark Wiltshire, who was extremely helpful in finding me a property that matched my exact requirements. After 13 years of renting our property out with Dexters , we are so frustrated, they do not seem to be able to get anything correct. I asked Dexters to value my house for a sale market, met with the agent and had a positive feeling about him even though he overpriced my property by approx 40-50k. When asked if he was sure about his valuation he said that ideally the property should be advertised about £30k below from his valuation :-).... Awful service. Blaise was extremely rude and argumentative. I felt she just bullied me into agreeing with the tenancy. When I complained to management, they didn't address it. Their rental management service is terrible. They get the wrong contractors for the job, use expensive contractors, miscommunicate often, don't have any follow up. I constantly have to follow up on them to make sure things get done. They don't give you proper advice either....

Our flat was infested by mice. We needed to move out because no intervention was made by the landlord and she presented herself as the manager of Dexters (actually, she's just the assistant) and negotiator. Of course we are as customers as the landlord, but she didn't help and totally covered him up. She gave us misleading information, such as the landlord was not meant to call pest control and probably had bad habits of letting rubbish around the place. Fees are often unfair. Don't buy the lie that a landlord can require you to pay letting fees in advance for the rest of the duration of the contract if you break it.

DONT CHOOSE THEM !!! they provided me a property which has no approval from original landlord, when I got their notice and moved out from my previous place they just told me I cant move in so I live in an airbnb for 3 days until I moved in a new place in a rush and none negotiable price, and there is no refund at all.
