Have moved into our flat on Clapham High street but had to deal with Levi over the phone. Probably the worst experience I've had with an estate agent with his rude attitude over the phone. Will not be dealing with Dexters in future and will be letting friends and family in London to do the same....

What a pathetic bunch of people. They would set you up with any landlord as long as they make their share and then leave you with him. They won't care to respond to your queries if you had issues with the landlord or with the property. All they would do is move you around to different team members and nobody will give you a reasonable answer....

As agents Dexter's have been ok. We rented the same property for 5 years. We left on 22 Feb 17, had the property commercially cleaned and left it in fine order with little wear and tear. The management of the lease termination was fine, and the property inspected with no issues. There were a minor issues on inventory but all very minor. This is the worst estate agent I came across in 7 years living in London. I moved out from the flat I lived in for 3 months and decided to move out to live with my girlfriend. Not only do they not give 24 hours notice for call outs, they hire contractors who are shoddy at best. Never again! Absolutely awful service! Property management department of Dexters is as terrible as their lettings. They always blame everything on the landlords and try to push as many tasks on the tenants as possible. They cannot do a single thing right (cannot enter the property for visit, ignore reported maintenance issues, leave you without proper hot water and heating for months, sends wrong check out reports etc.). Very unprofessional! I have come across many estate agents and without doubt they are the worst. They may be a big firm but their growth based on lies and and manipulation. They made numerous errors during setting up our rental contract and misrepresented us in numerous occasions towards the landlords. They absolutely take no responsibility for any of their actions and always blame the landlords for everything. I asked Dexters to value my house for a sale market, met with the agent and had a positive feeling about him even though he overpriced my property by approx 40-50k. When asked if he was sure about his valuation he said that ideally the property should be advertised about £30k below from his valuation :-).... Awful service. Blaise was extremely rude and argumentative. I felt she just bullied me into agreeing with the tenancy. When I complained to management, they didn't address it. Their rental management service is terrible. They get the wrong contractors for the job, use expensive contractors, miscommunicate often, don't have any follow up. I constantly have to follow up on them to make sure things get done. They don't give you proper advice either....

Our flat was infested by mice. We needed to move out because no intervention was made by the landlord and she presented herself as the manager of Dexters (actually, she's just the assistant) and negotiator. Of course we are as customers as the landlord, but she didn't help and totally covered him up. DONT CHOOSE THEM !!! they provided me a property which has no approval from original landlord, when I got their notice and moved out from my previous place they just told me I cant move in so I live in an airbnb for 3 days until I moved in a new place in a rush and none negotiable price, and there is no refund at all. After paying our holding deposit and completing the tenancy agreement on Thursday 10 November, it seems like despite the agent confirming that we had secured the property, 4 days later we merely get an email stating that the landlord has decided to go with someone else, taking an offer after the payment of our holding deposit. We only let Dexters collect rent so the Agents fees for this was 8%, however, all throughout the 3 year contract the tenants didn't pay their rent until at least 10 to 15 days after due date, EACH MONTH. The Accounts department didn't seem bothered by this, therefore I don't think the 8% was deserved especially given the disaster that unfolded upon the end of contract.

Dexters are ruining the market in Isleworth, continuously over valuing properties, not selling any properties, then asking sellers to bring down prices once they have contractually got the names of the potential buyers on their list of people. Disappointing, pathetic, awful, rude and lie. The Teddington office has given me nothing but stress. When it came to renewal of my tenancy agreement they told me that they hadn't changed any of the clauses just the rent amount (and pressured me to quickly sign it!), later i found out that they lied and increased their agent fees. We have a managed let in Richmond, Surrey. We chose a managed let as we live overseas and thought this would provide additional security for both us and our tenants. Please be careful when renting from this agent for Sloane Court Isleworth, they are just a middle agent and you will end up signing with IRD Homes which live at the same post code and manage the flats; ask before who the contract will be signed with, and if it's IRD Homes avoid; read all reviews on the internet for this agent, service is appalling, they are beyond any description. I would give a minus if I could. The agent treated the tenant like nothing. We had an issue with the light bulb in the bedroom that could not be changed. I will never ever even look to the Dexters brand after the bad experience I have had with them. They do not seem to have a structure when it comes to fees. Do not assume that just because you've signed a paper or given your card details, that any fees or deposites will be taken. They don't. Not to be trusted.

Beware Landlords. The Acton branch sourced tenants for me that breached their contract and exited the apartment after 2 months (without paying the second month rent and removing furniture from the apartment). Instead of pursuing the tenants for breach of contract and rent arrears they have decided to bill me for 11 months worth of commission. POOR. Be warned *. I am a landlord who is warning not to sign 2 year contracts. They are well versed with this and will demand for 2 year contracts from both landlords and tenants even though i don't demand this. Dexters put up a For Rent sign on our railings without our consent. These railings do not belong to the house for which they are looking for tenants. I called Dexters and asked for the sign to be removed as it is on private property which does not belong to the house for rent. The above is a generic response they send to every bad review. I asked to speak to the Director of the Richmond branch on several occasions during my terrible dealings with them and was not given details (only on the last day of my dealings with the brach were the Directors details provided). Would not touch Dexters with a 10 foot barge pole as they ignore basic letting regulations and safety standards when it comes to electrical regulations they feel they are above the law. their agencies fees are utterly rediculas and their whole proecess is dodgy at best if you want to put your life at risk feel free to use them otherwise stay well clear of this lot. follow up from the above they issue invalid section 21s ie not providing deposit protection scheme information before issuing the section 21 and is used in a response about many outstanding repairs. dating back nearly two years. it is a very long and complicated complaint which I am quite happy to share with anyone interested but it's safe to say that I think Dexters have not done their job properly with completing checks on their clients resulting in their client not completing on completion day after exchanging 3 weeks prior.
