Within a week of putting the house on the market DC found 2 keen buyers who made offers. On DC\'s advice we accepted the lower of the offers as they were cash buyers, exchanging contracts that same week on their house and they were local who knew our property well. Also being ex-police added a degree of integrity to the deal. They did not exchange that week nor for the following eight weeks. What agent could do to change your mind?
Answered our e-mails. Returned our phone calls. Sympathised when the buyers they recommended walked away after several weeks of the purchase process. Also responded to our comments when they submitted their sales blurb for our approval. The house had and was built for 4 bedrooms - they put three bedrooms. The house was in a cul-de-sac. They did not think this important enough to put in their sales blurb. The house was one of nine on an exclusive private estate with private access. Even this was omitted from their sales blurb. I think the staff of DC worked hard and diligently but DC himself was complacent, amateurish, and slap-dash.
