I was a tenant from Sept 16 2013 to Sept 15 2014.
They are very good at dealing with your issues; we had some toilet problems, which they dealt with when I called them.
Very "by the book" estate agents, they wanted all the bills and everything sorted before they release the deposit, I guess so that there is no issue in the future with tenants.
But the flat was in a good location, very close to the tube. So as to aid us in our travels to university.

I was unhappy with my current Apartment at the time as the price was not suitable for the condition that it was in. Fraud is such an ugly word isn't it? Imagine if an agency was so bad with actual tenants they had to resort to writing fake reviews about themselves gushing with praise!
On an unrelated note having rented from Papas I wouldn't ever recommend them. They will happily try to milk you for extra payment or unspecified deductions whilst providing next to no services-but, hey, at least the insincere smiles are free. The property we rented from them became increasingly dilapidated following successive botch repair jobs from a guy with a spanner-and the threat that if nothing was found to be wrong by them then we'd be paying for the call outs! A dodgy boiler, wiring and plumbing all caused problems we couldn't have foreseen but the worst was our fire safety: a temperamental alarm, hazardous escape routes and no fire extinguisher (apparently they're not required, hmm) were all worrying. Don't expect anything definite from Papas just a bunch of un-kept promises and them letting themselves into your home unannounced.

Alex came and saw my property and explained the procedure and what was required of him as the agent and also what was required from me as the landlord. Me and 3 friends of mine negotiated with Mr. Alexander Legakis in regards to renting a 4-bedroom house, and we received fine service throughout. All these five star reviews are ridiculous and obviously fake. The lack of specifics is suspect enough never mind the fact I don't think I could find anyone who would actually give them full marks.
We rented a flat from Papas and they were terrible. Maintenance that was promised both before we moved in and also during our tenancy wasn't done and Papas were generally unprofessional and rude. The mess the paperwork turned out to be in matched the mess of the wiring and plumbing as well as the flat in general. At the end of our tenancy they tried to take an unspecified amount from our deposit for bogus reasons making us have to threaten legal action.
I see 'john williamson' was so impressed by papas he felt the need to write not 1 but 2 separate 5* reviews! To conclude all these amazing reviews are evidently fake. Stay well clear of papas, there are plenty of other agencies in Islington most of whom probably don't let themselves in unannounced.

We rented a flat for a year from C P Papas-they are without a doubt the worst and most unprofessional agency I have ever had the misfortune to rent from.
The part in their contracts stating that the flat will be clean and liveable is a downright lie. Apart from the minimal amount of paint work using outdoor masonry paint that was left there, nothing was done. It took us several weeks to get it into a vaguely ok state (and we're students, we didn't want a lot!) At least the extra beds, evidence of a far greater amount of people living there than down on paper, had been removed before we moved in.
Amongst numerous other problems with the flat, the gas boiler and hob continuously failed to start, so basic living essentials such as cooking food and showering weren't ever guaranteed. The front door lock repeatedly jammed, trapping us inside. Papas' men never fixed the problem, and if there was ever a fire I wouldn't have counted our chances. Our ‘fire escape' was a glorified window 2 stories up followed by dropping down several times ending up on the overground lines. Even if the door had worked, the lack of a proper working fire alarm for 10 days might also have killed us. The few people we managed to get called out to look at problems were shocked by how old and bad everything was-the boiler itself was older than we are (and only held together by tape).
Being legal doesn't seem to matter to them, for example one time a Papas agent let himself in with no warning and started taking photographs. It also took more than the legal fortnight to get our deposits back. In the two weeks after moving out Papas demanded bill and council documents they could easily have asked us for before. They also demanded the permission of 3 other tenants for the return of the deposit into the lead tenants account- forgetting that there were in fact 4 other tenants, and wasn't even legally needed. 2 weeks after all this, we were lied to and told the full amount was in the post-only to find out the next day it wasn't and they were taking an unspecified amount of it for two ridiculous reasons. They then proceeded to ignore us on the phone, and it was only after we sent an email explaining that they didn't have a legal leg to stand on and threatening arbitration that they backed down very quickly.
We really needed somewhere to live but still I wish I'd just done a Google search before signing anything and seen the reviews (the credible ones that is). They could make a lot more money by actually treating their property and clients with respect and attention. To conclude I would never recommend C P Papas in a million years-end of.

I rented a property through C P Papas Property and I stayed for 5 years, I did have some problems with the apartment over the 5 years. C P Papas always tried to help and fixed all the problems I had at the property efficiently and effective for this I am very thank full to them. Also I would like to mention that C P Papas is very professional, friendly and they provide a very good service. I recommend this agency to anyone looking to rent.
