We rented a house from clive watkins for 6 months. In the final inspection we were told that everything was fine and our deposit would be released to us. Almost a month later and numerous phone calls we are still waiting for OUR money to be returned. Being told by an employee that the delay was unacceptable does not help when we are owed £800. I am sure if we were to have kept them waiting for the same length of time for the rent they would not have been as patient!...

Absolutely disgusting treatment from an awful estate agent . The patronising way of Gina is offensive to say the least and the lies her and dale gaskill tell is unbelievable , told me my application was in the process and accepted my money only to not even put it through for weeks and then start advertising without notifying me and even having the common decency to tell me , numerous calls to be told lies over and over and try and then be patronised by a young girl over the way estate agents wo...

Exceptionally rude , not helpful, abrupt no people skills , very arrogant to the point of being vitriolic . Certainly not an asset to the company .should b shown her p45 . As a potential new customer we were very dissapointed with are treatment . The lady in question was abt 45 with dark shoulder length hair , glasses and works at the Prenton leasing office. I am a business owner myself and would never have treated potential customers in such a way.any one else experienced this person ???...

I called Clive Watkin at their lettings office only to get the answering machine. I duly left a message with all my details so they could contact me about a rental property I wished to view. That was on the Thursday and by Saturday they still had not returned my call. I then left an email requesting a call but once again, nothing. Someone, anyone who "works" there could do their job and answer the phone, that would be a great place to start!!

Clive Watkin seem to charge the highest fees of any estate agent that I am aware of. Being as lazy as they are, this makes perfect sense as they cannot possibly do much business.

very poor service from clive watkin. always trying to book lots of people at once to view rented accomodation. half the time you get there and they dont even have the keys to open the back door! other times they rearrange appointments even when you are stressed out and had to take time off work to view a property. the attitude is so unprofessional and unhelpful, challenge them and they make no effort to apologise - do they really know how stressful it can be for some people to have to arrange ...

My mum recently sold and bought a property through Clive Watkin in Bebington. I've got to say that the staff are the most miserable unfriendly and unhelpful staff I have ever come across I don't know how they actually sell one house . My parents are both elder people and the person who was buying there house had told the staff that he was in no rush to get into the property and advised the Staff at clive Watkin to reiterate this to my parents which they never did. Just a comment - we are never a customer of the agent - tenants have no contract with the agent. Not very good - charitably could be described as having a complete lack of understanding of landlord and tenancy laws. Less charitably, attempt to rip of both landlord and tenants with made up charges and fees. Of course, this is their job - they wouldn\'t last long if they attempted to do things by the book. This is a shame, it sounds as though "JVS" is a stranger to the truth; I would suggest had he told the correct version of his plight he would have to admit his own failings. To pass comment about another persons knowledge of their profession is unjust unless of course the persons knowledge had been tested to some depth. In this instance I would suggest no test has taken place therefore no valid comment can be made. For example, a letting agent would not consider it fair to comment....

We were left in the property for 12 months with bad damp problems. Excessive mold growing in our bedroom, which grew into a built in cupboard and ruined a number of my wifes bridesmaids dresses and the interior of about two thrids of a wall was so damp that the plaster was coming away from the wall. After ignoring serious complaints about the property for months and hiding the intentions of the landlord (they intended to sell the property) both Carolle and Rachel in the lettings department took it upon themselves to attempt to steal our deposit. Only after threatening court action and wasting major amounts of our time were we able to recover a part of our deposit. Insulting, rude, lying little schemers. They don\'t give much support to us as landlords. Don\'t send details of expenses paid out. Don\'t give inspection reports on the state of the property inside or the common parts. We don\'t feel they are working for us....
