I rented my property through this agency for over 3 years. Done their basic job with diligence, investigated issues promptly instead of stonewalling, owned up mistakes instead of blaming the landlord.

Dear Vivek Thank you for your comments, however reviews should be honest and constructive and we welcome accurate reviews. The branch is owned by Mosses. Over the past few years I have noticed that he does not read his emails or return his call. This causes embarrassment to his part time staff. The branch is under staffed and the staff employed are not empowered to communicate properly. However I must say the two part time staff Valeria & Lisa I have dealt with are excellent. Be more proactive and remember that they are being paid to provide a service
Comment on agent fees
The properties are fully managed but the agent does not do anything. Ie no periodic visits, no statements,very late rent payments and very poor communications from the letting manager.

The staff is not very nice. When I moved in, they made a mistake and never said "Sorry". The one who called me even cut me off over the phone. Don\'t know if it cost to have basic manners....

Hi 'Mark' please clarify what property you have moved into (even a property reference) as we have no 'Mark' noted on our books over the past 6 months or more yet you log a review as if this is something recent. We are worried you have noted the 'wrong agent' maybe, and also that you cite that 'someone' 'cut you off' and 'the staff' but have not mentioned any names, even male or female. I used this agent last year to sell my property. Very efficient. Kept me updated, screening the buyer and ensuring it wasn\'t a \'time waster\'. They followed up solicitors and helped me even when I couldn\'t get a hold of my own solicitor. Highly recommend them as it is nice to speak personally to an agent who cares to get the job done....

I\'ve had a really awful time getting my deposit back from this firm. They have ignored emails, consistently blamed each other, blamed the Landlord, said things would happen which didn\'t and generally been really unhelpful. Moses blamed Lisa, Jo blamed Valarie etc. It was only when I got legal on them that they went into action. They initially refunded me less than I was owed (Jo blamed Lisa for this) so I had to go into it again with them to get the rest. They haven\'t been using the Deposit P...

Be honest about what the hold ups were, answer emails in a timely fashion, use the deposit protection scheme.

Alex, unfortunately the error in this case was merely relying on the Landlord's advise that the payment was made and then found to be delayed a further day and the wrong sum was initially paid, but the Landlord corrected this. We endeavoured to update you throughout the process. We don't hold the deposit as explained and are merely the agent to'ing and fro'ing between Landlord and Tenant to ensure the deposit is refunded. Highly unprofessional property sales and lettings company. Avoid at all costs, unless you have all the time to waste and happy to let go of good deals. This is the worst agent you will ever come across. When we looked at the property it seemed like a nice place, we were told the previous tenants had been evicted so there was a lot of mess and rotting food left. Kevin assured us that all of this would be removed before we moved in. It was not, in fact the place could only be described as a hygiene hazard and very little of the house was in working order. - there was even a biological waste bag left in one of the rooms. As soon as they take money off you, you can expect the worst services ever. Getting your deposit back is going to be so hard that eventually you thought you could make equivalent amount of money doing something else. And they are very rude and arrogant after you paid, they would blame you for their own mistake, it is as if everyone worked there have two faces. Try if you dare....

This is the first property I have purchased and I was pleasantly surprised with the efficiency and help this branch gave me especially after seeing the reviews that were on here. After repeated assurances that the money will be paid (at the beginning of March) I have yet to receive it back. In addition to this, having dealt many letting/estate agents over the years, I have never come across such rude and arrogant staff as at Burwood Marsh. Please let this be a warning - Do NOT use this agency, there are plenty of others located on the same street/area and I am sure any one of them are more professional and trustworthy than Burwood Marsh.. The management of my property was dreadful, they never performed any regular checks. The agency kept hounding me for money when I owed them nothing and they had previously confirmed that, in fact they owed me money! Extremely bad attitude. Not the worst agency I had used but they were pretty bad....
