Please avoid this agency like the plague if you can!! The apartments let out by the agency are unfortunately very nice and well maintained: that's about the only positive comment I can write about the agency. From the first day onwards, the attitude is to be aggressive, rude and pushy and get as much money from you as possible. STAY AWAY. Tenants and landlords alike. If I could give no stars, I would. The agents are very unprofessional and try to charge for every little item. They are why we moved away. Hi Rebecca, I am unfortunately a tenant with Burtens and I was hoping wondering if you ever received a Letter of Emergency and if so if you still have it? I am asking because we have a leak in our apt but Bruten is closed for the holiday so I cannot get in touch with their contractor to come have a look at it. I too unfortunately read all the bad reviews after I had given the deposit and was shocked to realize that all these bad things were going to happen to me too. First, I was treated very rudely by Mr Sam Jones who "threatened" me that if I do not send the deposit, I would lose the flat (although I had paid the 1 week security already so it didn't make any sense!). You are supposed to be the mediator between Landlord and Tenant, and not leech off the tenant's money for the sake of the Landlord and then put some in your pocket. So stop stealing money. Stop being rude. Answer emails. Treat all clients with respect: remember that the tenants are clients and without them you cannot work for the Landlord ! ! !

- Please stop taking large amounts of money unethically from customers - Please check your documents before sending them - they have too many mistakes - Please don't make us correct your documents - Please train staff on how to read emails - Please stop lying or hiding important information - Please take a course on how not to be rude to people - Please stop treating customers like dirt I would have listed things that would be helpful to them but I just don't think they have the capacity to improve because it's that bad. Hi Iris Have they protected your deposit into government scheme? If they did not you have a court claim against them in up to 3 times of amount of your deposit. Make a money claim in court and find info online about it. The Judge is always on side of tenants!....

I rented a property through Brutens for one year and the contracting process was quite alright. Brutens are unprofessional and bully customers, from the first until the final day of your contract. I've been having an abysmal experience with Brutens so far. Having rented a property with Brutens, I requested a copy of the building's key in order to provide my cleaning lady with it. Brutens insistently refused to provide me with a backup key as I'm the only tenant in the contract. Despite the fact that the building manager declared that it is Brutens obligation to provide me with a backup key, the company still refuses to do so. I strongly recommend staying away from Brutens....

These are the rudest, useless and most unprofessional letting agents I have ever come across in London. From the receptionist person who answered the phone, to the letting manager and to the wife of the owner are all a bunch of useless cowboys. I do not understand how landlords trust these fouls with their properties. Bruten motto seems to be why make things pleasant, professional and easy when we can make it difficult and unpleasant. As a tenant of Brutens for a number of years, I would actively discourage any prospective tenant from engaging this agency as their chosen letting agent.
