I have used brown@merry for several purchases, and now use them for my rentals. The service i have received is always first class. I can honestly say, i have not been let down once in 5 years. Keep up the good work guys, as i have no intention of looking elsewhere....

Shocking. Funny how all the other reviews say the same thing. James was the most incompetant person I have met, couldnt answer simple questions, like what furniture is staying? 4 weeks and countless emails and still no idea. Also told us the only fees will be deposit and MAYBE an inventory fee and that was it. Deposit was fine, inventory check was unacceptable as the landlord does the inventory and the agent doesnt do anything. The worst thing is the ‚£114 to resign every year, for them to do jack s**t.

They lied about the number of people they had to view the house. When we signed only one person came round and they offered 50k of the asking price and was trying to bully us into accepting this, even though they said they had 4 other people interested who never materialised. It seemed they were working for the person buying the house and not us, they dragged the process out until we went over the cooling off period. Absolutely horrible service provided when renting my house. I got the fully managed service which was a big mistake because while they charged me 110 pcm for fees it took the 6 months to organise a plumber to fix a radiator valve something I could have organised from abroad in a week ( by the way the plumbing issue still isn't sorted). Extremely poor service provided once they took the property on. No viewings in 2 weeks and no feedback, this is despite being informed prior to take on they had plenty of applicants on their books for our type of house and in our area. Brown & Merry don't seem to return calls - I called twice and am still waiting for a return call. Inflexible hours (don't expect to view a property outside of their limited opening hours (they close at 6 and on Sundays). They also appear to follow up on viewings (in my experience) I'd also question their ability to add the correct address on Rightmove (which means said property did not show up on Rightmove search)...

This is the worst agency I ever seen. When a tenant calls them for any help they either don't answer or redirect to the landlord. They also have no problem in breaking the law or being disrespectful and very rude. For sure any other agency is better than they are....

In my opinion, these are the worst agents in Leighton Buzzard although Connels, which they are part of, come very close. Case 1: Failed to inform the vendor that we had a tied up chain and didn't put our offer forward despite it being £20k higher than the property was sold for. They of course claimed that they had. Incompetent, rude & flippant. Regularly late for viewings and even miss them all together on occasion. Viewing clearly about quantity rather than quality with properly qualified interested parties. I cannot say just how upset & disappointed i am with the service we received from this branch (except from the two females in the office). Never again. Avoid at all costs....

This estate agency dont even warrant one star. Their sales particulars are incorrect and misleading, their sales staff are incompetent and their customer service is completely non-existent. If you wish to lose shed loads of time and money whilst trying to buy a house then by all means use these guys. Otherwise, avoid at ALL COSTS. There is so much that these incompetent fools did wrong that it would be easier to say what they did right. That would be nothing. They put forward a tenant and a couple of days before they were due to move in the agents advised that they had a CCJ against them. They then advised on using the guaranteed rental service. What agent could do to change your mind?
Refund the monies owed, reduce the rent as requested on numerous occasions, and give us some money for the inconvenience caused by all of their incompetence.

I feel cheated by the service provided by Brown & Merry. The selling agent provided no feedback or simply made up feedback to alleviate my concerns. They made up appointments, bringing bogus clients to my property and and when challenged on their sales approach i was told it was my fault. I WOULD NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE AGAIN....

Waited for over 5 weeks for Vimala to sort out the mortgage, which never finalised. I did not find out whether the mortgage accepted or not. The offer was accepted 31 Oct 12. Unfortunately when people try to buy corporate instructions, they find that these properties have to be left on the market. It is possible for other potential buyers to offer on that property aswell. It is then upto the managing company to decide who to go with. It is out of the agents hands!! They do not decide who a vendor decides to sell to!! ...

Your lucky mate, I've been waiting for over 5 weeks, then they have the cheek to tell me that another offer has been put in for £1000 more after I have signed the contract. But they held back the mortgage offer I gave them, which should have been given to the solicitors. My bank even confirmed that they gave Jack, a colleague of hers the information. After 5 weeks, you would know if the banks will give you a mortgage or not! ...
