We recently sold our property through Bourne Estate Agents in Guildford and sadly the process from start to finish was incredibly negative. Robert and the team put my property on the market which sold within two days, unfortunately due to circumstances beyond their control the sale fell through. I was delighted when only a few days after re-marketing my property they once again sold it, we have now exchanged contracts and completion is set for 8th July. In Farnham, we have a lot of estate agents to choose from. Due to Bourne marketing most of the type of houses we were interested in, we bought and sold through Bourne. Terrible customer service and they would never provide assistance regarding any issues which we all had to arrange with the landlord in the end. The whole point of going to an agency is that it gives you peace of mind and you dont have to deal with the landlord directly but this didnt seem to be the case with Bourne....

I am trying to deal with the above comments and must stress at this point that no complaint has been made to the offices to deal with. Furthermore Damian Hartigan does not deal with customers so I am not sure why his name has been mentioned. Finally if the tenant has been put in contact with the landlord it will because the agreement is for Let Only service and we are not managing the property. Bourne estate agents are one of the most professional agents I've dealt with. Their honest, pragmatic and sensible approach to helping us sell our house was a breath of fresh air compared to many in Alton. I am appalled by their aggressive approach and sharp practise - constantly knocking on my door and telephoning but worst of all pestering my elderly mother who shares our home and is often alone home when my husband and I are at work. Does a foot in the door and virtually forcing your way into a home against the wishes of an 83 year old lady really represent this company in an acceptable way. Adrian was great - providing the enthusiasm and energy that i was so lacking. Millie too was wonderful - beavering away behind the scenes, sorting things out with the solicitors etc. - to make sure that the sale did indeed actually go through - despite all the unexpected difficulties. Bourne had the lowest of the fees being charged by Estate Agents in the area although I did find them to be very high especially when they do a minimal of paper work and I had to chase to be sent the inventory and a copy of the signed agreement. The company that they use to carry out the inventory did not complete a very thorough documentation and I had to request several issues to be added.
