Detailed and result oriented approach by the staff. Bobby is professional and customer oriented. Allotted me a slot for property viewing based on my convenience, from his busy schedule. To say this business is poor is an understatement... If you're a tenant, steer clear as you will be treated as a second class citizen throughout your tenancy. Having dealt with a number of estate agents over the past few years, these guys are certainly the worst. In brief: I found Bennet Residential to be dysfunctional and arrogant to the extent that it became a constant stress for me. When choosing a property agent, remember that you're not just paying for a one time dinner. You're signing on a long term agreement, so you want to make sure it won't cause you daily troubles. The service provided by Bennett Residential estate agency is really excellent. I bought the property through them and they immediately showed interest in providing services for letting the property. Dear AK, It is disappointing that you decided to write an online review rather than contact us directly as we would have been happy to answer your concerns. Regretfully when you filled out the application form you over- stated that your salary and you are right, your income was verified at the initial stage, but when the referencing company contacted your employer they confirmed that your salary was actually lower than you stated and your job role was also different to what was stated. ...

Poor service offered by this agency, wish I did a google review before pick up the phone to them, as the online reviews say it all. Dear Bradley, It is disappointing that you decided to reply to 'Mohmed Khan's review rather than myself, I will accept this as a 'system error'. Dealing with this agency has been extremely stressful, firstly because the agent mentioned was extremely obnoxious and also very rude, and also once the tenancy agreement was nearly completed the agent did not want to complete his obligations especially after making us jump through hoops. I am happy i met so unprofessional rude staff just on the phone and already know i would never deal with them again. I phoned them about the property to rent and only what interested this man was just a money even we not having any benefits and i told we having money to pay it and could speak to accountant about references. During what was quite a stressful time with previous offer\'s falling through, we changed agents and went with Bennett Residential. Philip and Jacob both assisted through the sale of my mothers property, offered sound advice on pricing and kept us informed as the property we were selling was vacant. I cannot stress this strongly enough; I urge you not to use Bennett Residential in any capacity. Never have I had the displeasure of dealing with quite such an inept company. Don\'t use these people. Getting your deposit back - in our case, it was well over a grand - is a nightmare. It took these idiots some 8 weeks to return ours, when the landlord had signed ours off the very day we moved out - and under a contract that said we should receive it within 10 working days! We had sent them final statements from the utility companies, with receipts for payment of the bills. To get the deposit back, we were asked to send in documents that don\'t exist (utility compan...

What agent could do to change your mind?
Adopted a more sensible policy on return of deposits. Actually told us what would be required to get the deposit back instead of moving the goalposts after documents had been sent. Provided rational explanations for their actions instead of making things up. Sent the Tenancy Deposit Scheme certificate as provided in the contract. Featured less ridiculous forfeiture clauses.

After looking through our records we do not appear to have a Derek that lived in any of our properties but in any case we feel that a response is necessary to clarify the major points that you have raised. We take complaints of any nature even through a forum seriously and use them productively to help improve our service where possible. Absolutely terrible! I have been with this agency for a number of years and the service has been going downhill. Let\'s start with a former staff employee, who decides to leave and take some confidential material with her (i.e. client information for her to abuse later). What does Phil Bennett do? What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have been more professional with regards to confidentiality. They could also consider employing staff that actually tell the truth and call landlords back when they say they will. It may also be beneficial for landlords to not have to pay the same invoices on more than one occasion. I would strongly recommend some kind of simple filing system where important documentation does not go missing. It would also be an idea to not present outstanding invoices after 4 months. Finally, don\'t patronise your landlords and employ staff that walk off with confidential information.
