if you want a lying, disingenuous agent then Beaumont Gibbs are for you. My house had two offers and the agent phoned me to discuss the offers,I was told on the phone one was a cash buyer from sale of their house, no chain and the other was far into the sale of their house plus would need a mortgage but had the bigger offer. Dear Pauline, further to your review I thought I must reply to you "again", as I have done in the past, as had Paul Allen, the negotiator who handled the sale. We do hold all email correspondence to and from you, so have proof of our regular contact with you. Re your complaint, as you have stated yourself, the buyer you chose was a cash buyer, from the sale of their house. I felt that the agent was only interested in a hard sale and tricked us into bidding higher by going between myself and another possible buyer to try and get us in a bidding war. I felt that there was no honesty or openness during this process and the agent was only interested in how much commission who could get on the sale. Rent a house which is not fit to live in: in less than four months time, ceiling in the kitchen falls over our heads, boiler all but explodes, huge flood in the kitchen, heating not working properly, sounds of rats coming from the attic, a mouse spotted in the kitchen. What agent could do to change your mind?
Be professional and not rent a house not fit to live in to people. Do your job properly and hire professionals instead of sending in pals to repair the house at a cheaper cost. APOLOGISE when you have completely messed up instead of harassing us and pretending it is all fine. Pick up the phone when there is an emergency, do what you said you would do.

We let with Beaumont Gibbs for just over four years. Letting the property from them was easy and we never had any problems during the tenancy. We were then told a couple of months ago that the landlord was selling. We were given a umber of options, but we chose to move out. Once we had said we would be moving, it was almost as if we became an inconvenience.
