We've rented a total of six properties in the UK and have always had our bond returned. An agent named David Waterhouse walked through the property with us upon vacating and he said it needed a 'light cleaning'. I said it was absurd and asked what needed to be cleaned and he told me the framing on the back of the doors had a bit of dust and the top of the refrigerator (that was stained by something from a previous tenant) could have been cleaned better. We were well overcharged for a 'light cleaning' but there's no one to complain to - it's sometimes best just to be rid of them.

We used Angus Roberts to rent a flat in Leeds whilst relocating. Overall we found them to be excellent - very good communication via both email and phone and the app/website for reporting faults is particularly excellent. They handover the flats in a very clean state, and therefore expect them back as such. Fees are quite high compared to others in the Leeds area, but could be a lot more when compared to London etc and they do have good customer service.

We've rented properties many times in the last ten years but this was the first experience with Angus Roberts. As with the previous review I have just read, "David" was unprofessional and rude. Regardless of how clean and tidy a home is left - it will still need a "light cleaning"! Professionalism is key to good business. Sacking the rude employees would be a good start to achieving that goal.

I felt that the real estate agent was more eager to get me to pay more than 400 GBP just to get trough the approval process than to convince me to actually rent the property. He sad that 250 GBP would be paid back once I pay the first rent (which would be 12 month in advance by the way). Lower your initial fees (a lot) to a decent level and focus on the sale rather than the process.

The problem occurred upon checkout, David came out to inspect my apartment which had been thoroughly cleaned, however, he found some crumbs in the bottom of the grill pan and advised me that i would be charged over one hundred pounds for a cleaning service for these crumbs. we used them to rent a house from and we have had no end of problems the damp in the property is terrible and there comment has been "well it was ok before you moved in" and they have advised to fix the problem they would think another radiator would do it. when i asked if this had been proffecianaly advised they said no there idea and when you try to call them they never get back to you and always goes to the answer machine...

the agents have time and time again failed to call me back i have called them over 20 times and they have called me back twice. i have advised them i have had medical issues due to the damp and they have stopped responding
