Ethan took care of the process, short listing interested parties for me to meet and offering useful advice as needed. The fact that my tenants have proved to be well chosen, and stayed for (or wish to stay for) long periods is evidence that CJHole's system is effective. I was very happy with the efficient and friendly service provided by Ethan, and continue to feel confident that my interests are well served by the company as a whole.

I have recently let my property with CJ Hole and I have been very impressed with them. Initially I contacted Northwood, largely based on the positive reviews on this site, but I was very disappointed with them so I contacted CJ Hole instead. From the very start Justin responded to my messages quickly and answered all of my questions. He arranged to visit the property promptly and found tenants extremely quickly. He was not pushy at all, but had a calm relaxed and professional manner. I feel confident that my property and tenants will be well looked after by CJ Hole so I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Justin and his letting team didn't disappoint. From the first visit to advise on letting matters, to finding suitable tenants (I'm 'picky'), to the end of setting up the tenancy and seeing the place occupied .... all has been handled in a professional, hassle-free and friendly manner. I am a first-time landlord and was very nervous about entering the letting marketing. None of the agents (supposedly the best in the area) I interviewed left me feeling that they would deliver the support I needed. I then contacted CJ Hole who arranged for Justin to meet me at the property and I came away from that meeting far more confident that my needs would be addressed. Justin prepared a pre-letting evaluation of the property and associated information which was sent to me for consideration at which point I decided to go with CJ Hole.
It's fair to say that the property had been a little neglected for a few years, as such CJ Hole recommended and coordinated contractors (who were all reliable and professional) to remove and replace all the carpets, repaint throughout (including the external woodwork), replace the electrical consumer unit and faulty oven and general cleaning prior to letting. They also arranged the energy performance certificate and electrical & gas safety certificates.
CJ Hole secured an excellent tenant who has been at the property for just over a year and has recently signed for another 12 months. During the last year there have been a number of maintenance issues at the property which CJ Hole have dealt with promptly and efficiently, examples include repairs to gates, fences, locks, windows and gutters and major pruning of trees (including arranging for the contractor to deal with the application to the council under a tree protection order).
The CJ Hole lettings team (including Justin, Alex, Jenny, Susanne, Lisa, Janice and Jessica) who support me are very capable overall and in particular are excellent communicators (keeping me informed at all times, and as a remote landlord this is key) and very responsive to the needs of myself and the tenant.
Overall I am very happy with service I get from CJ Hole and would recommend them to any landlord. From my own research I would say their fees are just a little above average but I believe the very small premium I pay above their competitors' rates is well worth it for the level of service I receive in return – ultimately you get what you pay for.
I hope I am as a good a landlord as they are agent!

My wife and I have bought and sold numerous properties in Cheltenham over the years, all marketed through CJ Hole. We've mostly dealt with Nick and Justin and have found them to be friendly, capable, hard-working and professional. When complications inevitably arise, we've always relied on CJ Hole for great, honest advice and each situation has been expertly handled. Buying and selling is always stressful but working with these guys keeps it to a minimum. We just completed our latest sale, getting a quick offer at the level we wanted. We dealt with Nick primarily and everything went very smoothly. Slow solicitors were pushed along and shifting buyer demands were swiftly negotiated. Prior to the sale, we rented out the property for 12 months, while in the process of relocation to the US. CJ Hole fully managed the property, any issues were handled promptly, and we were kept informed throughout. Would strongly recommend using CJ Hole.

An outstanding service from start to finish. We marketed our property through CJHole and accepted an offer within a week, and the process was relatively smooth from the outset. We also found our new house through Nick and Justin and, for a variety of reasons, the process wasn't quite as straightforward and was a testing time for all involved. Justin worked incredibly hard keeping all the different parties talking to each other and keeping the sale progressing when at times it seemed like it was doomed to fail. In a difficult market for buyers and sellers alike, the expertise of an experienced agent with exemplary communication and negotiation skills is absolutely essential. We would not have been able to buy our dream home without them. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

The sale of our property (which the agent also dealt with) was relatively straight forward. The purchase of our house was less straight forward and there was a 7 month period from offer to exchange. The agent again communicated well and despite moments of extreme stress and worry we maintained a huge amount of confidence in the agent. They were honest and worked extremely hard in order to achieve the best for all parties within the chain. They were dynamic in their roles and displayed professionalism despite what must have been at times hugely frustrating, this in turn was greatly reassuring. I would highly recommend this agent. We purchased our dream home which was all down to Justin Prosser and Nick Griffith working consistently hard for 7 months.

I used CJ Hole to sell a property owned by our property development company. We had spent twelve months renovating the property and interviewed several Cheltenham based estate agents before we decided on CJ Hole. The initial valuation and consultations were conducted with Nick Griffith who we found to be knowledgeable and professional. The property sold in about one month, Justin Prosser managed the sales negotiations and subsequent sale process and kept us continually updated on how the sale was preceding and managed the whole process in a very efficient way. Overall I was very impressed with all the staff at CJ Hole and would recommend them very highly.

My father put his house on the market with C J Hole in Cheltenham and my brother, sister and I asked to be kept informed of the progress. Not only did Justin Prosser keep us fully informed, he helped overcome problems with the transaction, suggesting ways to sort things out, keeping in touch with not only the buyers but their mortgage lender and kept our solicitors informed every step of the way. I cannot thank Justin enough for all his help and, as I work for a solicitors who do conveyancing, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his firm. It's just a shame they haven't got a branch in my area!

My Dad sold his house in Cheltenham through C J Hole - Justin Prosser was my contact throughout. He dealt with all the family and kept us up to date at all times and when problems arose (which they did) he suggested solutions, kept in contact with all parties and passed on instructions quickly. I recently bought 111 Charlton Lane through your branch, I dealt with Justin throughout and I must thank him for his great estate agency skills! I have worked in property for 20 years being involved in mortgages and buying mostly! so I have lots of experience obviously in the service estate agents give, Justin was very proactive in the process and I can say that I think towards the end his calls up and down the chain held the whole process together; sellers up the chain were getting nervous. As an example I was selling my house in Fulham through Strutt & Parker; Justin managed to speak and get more information and actuate assessment of the state of play for their related two sales through the solicitors than even the actual S & P dealing! So credit due all-round to him. I was also very pleased to get two bottles of wine & pack from your branch when we collect the keys, a nice touch I thought.
