Terrible letting agent. New landlord bought the flat I'm in in Jewellery Quarter Birmingham, Accord instructed their agent Countrywide to slap me with a Section 13 to increase my rent by 17%, which they cannot do due to a clause in my contract, which they clearly haven't bothered reading.. and they're now "consulting with their legal team" to see "if the landlord can do this".. might they have consulted with their legal team before causing me all this stress??? What a mess, we are getting nothing but unhelpfulness, rudeness and stress from these people too, their default mode seems to be aggressive, angry overly difficult and dismissive.
The only agent there we've dealt with who is any good is Jaya, the rest we've dealt with just consistently make our lives more difficult.
I don't know how they stay in business, are landlords really happy with them?
