As a buyer I was very impressed with the very professional service provided by Ali, Bonnie and Jasmine. Streets Ahead were able to assess the type of property that I was likely to be interested in and so there was no time wasted viewing unsuitable properties. All the staff vwere friendly, effiecient and importantly, not pushy. My email and phone correspondence with Bonnie who dealt with the purchase, was always dealt with efficiently and by return. We have now moved in and are happy to enjoy our new flat. Thanks for taking some of the stress out of the purchasing process!

Gemma Sobey from the South Croydon office is the kindest estate agent who my husband and I dealt with during our long process of finding the property to buy.
She was friendly and sincere by nature but very professional, and the thing which we liked the most about Gemma was that she wasn’t pushy at any time.
We never felt under pressure to accept properties we weren’t sure about and she always tried to understand our need and likes and we felt she was more a friend to us than an agent.
Jamie, in the same office as Gemma, dealt with us at the beginning of our home search, I think both of them deserve 5 star rating for being honest and understanding people.
This kind of treatment stays in memory for ever. Thanks guys!!!

I bought my first investment flat throw them, and the lady i've been dealing with was Natasha, absolutely fantastic service!!! She was contacting me as promised with an updates, taking time to get to know my needs, exactly what i was looking for and we saw about 10 properties together and everytime she had it right! And finally we found the one! I am very happy with the service that was provided in search for the property and after! My flat is still in a process of completion and I know when it will be time to rent it out, I'll let it though Streets Ahead!

Very good, professional service. We spoke with a number of other agents and although SA were not the cheapest (or gave us the highest valuation) they inspired us with the most confidence that they could sell our property, which they did.
Special thanks to Jayne Best, the sales progressor, who was excellent and really kept the transaction moving along by communicating with all sides and keeping everyone up to date with what was going on. The sale simply would not have completed so quickly and efficiently without her assistance.

Our experience with Streets Ahead was terrible. Firstly we had to chase for feedback on most of the viewings. Many of the viewings didnt happen, and Streets Ahead didnt even ring to tell me this was the case. In fact I believe that they booked phantom viewings becuase we only had 1 actual viewing take place out of 4 that were booked at one point. They had our keys and one agent let himself in one evening, first I knew was when I heard the door opening downstairs whilst I was putting my children to sleep. Bonnie, who was responsible for handling the sale once the offer had been accepted, was wonderful. She kept me sane. She went above and beyond to ensure it went smoothly, constantly chasing up my useless solicitor. That is why I have scored Streets Ahead as being \'good\'. After meeting with a number of different local estate agents we decided to appoint Streets Ahead to sell our house. They have a highly visible local presence and, on meeting him, Ali showed enthusiasm and genuine passion to sell the house. Ali clearly runs a tight ship in South Croydon and his team of agents showed similar vigor when showing people round. Particularly Jack who took time to familiarise himself with the house and what he was selling. The only slight niggle was on the odd occasion we didn’t get a feedback call and had to make the assumption that those viewings were unsuccessful. I discussed this with Ali fairly early on in the process and after that received progress updates throughout the process. I’d also like to mention Bonnie who acts as the after sales advisor. She does the extremely difficult role of keeping everyone happy and up to speed on progress. It’s a thankless role that she performs very well. I strongly recommend Streets Ahead south Croydon to sell your house.

Jack Hicks was the best estate agent i met in our 2 month search for a home through bexley, orpington and croydon; open, straightforward, honest, not pushy, knew the best standards of the profession. i had originally contacted streets ahead after my first choice property fell through, and so somewhat bruised from that experience, jack was very good at giving me three options of flats. he followed through to see how things were but did not push and gave us space to make decisions. he was a fountain of knowledge on property, proper information to help you make a decision, which made me feel he had interest at heart. he always gave options. although the proposed purchase and offer did not occur...my dealings with jack and also ali were very pleasant. all in all, a class act. a pleasant change from my other dealings with other estate agents.

Ali and Jayne have both been excellent throughout the process. Both readily responsive via email and the phone, and happy to answer questions from a first time buyer. Also of note, Jasmine (sorry, I don\'t have your surname) showed me around the property on both visits and was brilliant too, with tonnes of enthusiasm and good advice. Really appreciate all of the work the South Croydon team put in to help me complete this process. Looked with several other agents at properties before settling on this one and whilst the property is the most important thing, the other agents did not compare. Many thanks.

Both agents were extremely helpful and profressional throughout. Lucy was extremely helpful in marketing our property and Bonnie was very good at keeping us up to date on the latter stages of the sale of our property. Both agents were always on hand to answer any queries that we had and were very pro-active in keping us up-to-date on developments. Selling my property should have been an absolute nightmare given the problems I had. And it was, but nowhere near as bad as it should – and the was 110% down to the Bonnie, Lucy and their team. Bonnie, who looked after the progression was an absolute star, She always made herself available and was always there when I had a query or a moan, which was quite often. She dealt with each and every issue with pure professionalism and honesty and kept me informed all the way through. I wont be moving anytime soon, but If do, then I’ll be on the phone to Bonnie and Lucy straight away – I can’t praise nor recommend them enough.

We registered with Streets Ahead in Selsdon after viewing a property on their books. The agent who met us at the viewing was just great - Lucy Day. She was intelligent about the area and the property, really insightful and so we decided to register with them. From their on, Lucy stayed in contact with us on a weekly basis. She would ring with new properties for us to consider and even properties that were just on the market and hadn\'t been advertised before. Sadly, we found our house through another agent but I wish, so wish it had been Streets Ahead. Lucy Day at Streets Ahead is worth contacting. She is proactive in finding properties, let\'s you be totally honest about what works and what doesn\'t in a property you have viewed, and has an engaging personality and sense of humour that keeps you going while searching for that dream house. Truly superb service.

We were looking to buy our first home and we were registered with several estate agents, Gemma was our contact at Streets Ahead. Gemma was always on the look out for a property that we would like and kept in regular contact with emails and phone calls. Other estate agent companies didnt even remember my name let alone how many bedrooms etc we were looking for! I'm sure we must have tested her patience as we were quite fussy about what we were looking for but Gemma persevered and found us a great property. Once we had made the offer we then dealt with Jayne in post sales who was also really friendly and helpful. As we were first time buyers we didnt know anything about the process and Jayne was really good at explaining and guiding us through it. She kept in regular contact with myself, the vendors and the conveyancers and made the whole process alot smoother.

Although we didn't end up buying a property through StreetsAhead, I just felt I should put a quick review online. My wife and I viewed a property with Steve Cosgrave and were extremely impressed with how professional and friendly the service offered by StreetsAhead was, two things that don't often go hand in hand. Steve in particular was very easy to work with relaying information in a confident and reassuring manner, always friendly and always happy to make time for us. I would be confident to recommend StreetsAhead to anyone in the Croydon area.

I spent ages with different estate agents in South Croydon, looking to buy a flat. Several of them were quite good and some of them, well, the least said the better. Out of all of them I found Streets Ahead to be the best. They were responsive, willing to listen, took an active interest and tried very hard to match me up to a good property within my budget. At some point I dealt with all the staff but the one I got to know the best was Gemma Sobey. She always courteous without being stuffy and had the ability to actually begin to see properties through your eyes, which was refreshing. She was very good at contacting me on a regular basis, she was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I found her to be very professional. If I ever owned an Estate Agency I would fill it with staff based on Gemma's approach to serving clients. She has now moved to Streets Ahead's Purley branch, so if you are looking to buy in Purley/Sanderstead way, see if she'll take you on!

Please note that this is a review of the services of Gemma Sobey at Streets Ahead in Purley (previously Croydon), not necessarily the estate agency itself. Gemma has been invaluable in our search for our first house to buy. She understood how important our first home together was to us, and really listened to what we were looking for and tailored our viewings around our requirements and schedules. She is enthusiastic and proactive without being pushy, she dealt quickly and efficiently with a couple of issues that arose, and she has the patience of a saint! We are putting our search on hold for the moment as an opportunity has arisen abroad, but if that falls through, we will be calling Gemma straight away to ask for her expert help in continuing our search. We know that she is the estate agent who will find us our perfect home.

My first contact with Matthew Johnson was very positive and it continued to be so over the period of his finding me a home. Due to a new job in the Croydon area I needed to move from Haringey in North London, I outlined my needs to Matthew and these he understood perfectly. Due to the distance it was difficult to organise viewing times but Matthew was both accomodating and willing to help with lifts from the station to property to save time and to provide some ease after a 2 hour journey from North London. I gave up, half way thinking it would be best to start viewing properties when I start work in the area - but Matthew persisted which was what I needed and his persistance paid off as I now am comfortably settled as a tenant in my new home. This what is needed from an Agent - I needed that! I found Matthew to be a true professional, he was efficient , good humoured, curteous and caring. His dedication, persistence and support was invaluable.

I have just exchanged contracts as a buyer using Streets Ahead as my agent and would rate the service receieved as excellent. From the sales team involving Jason, to Bonnie Pooley, the Sales Progressor all members of staff were excellent in dealing with the sales process. Jason completed the deal quickly and professionally and got the property off of the market as soon as the purchase price was accepted. Bonnie Pooley took over to progress the sale and always replied to emails and phone calls immediately and kept me informed of the sales progress every step of the way. They gave a good valuation and had sound knowledge of the local area. Their fees were competitative. They were professional at all times when we dealt with them. They were a little slow in getting the property details on the internet, but we still received an offer which then proceeded to sale pretty soon after the property was on the market. Once the sale was agreed, Bonnie our sales progressor (based at 221 Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon, Branch) was fantastic. She regularly provided us with updates via email and over the phone to let us know how things were progressing and she tirelessly chased up all parties when things stalled. She was exceptionally professional and a pleasure to deal with.

I have exchanged on a 5 bedroom house with Streets Ahead. Their Senior Sales Negotiator Gemma Sobey is excellent and has been instrumental in arranging this sale. She has been very professional, curteous and timely in progressing all matters. I did have issues with their newspaper advertising / website/ sales progression teams who were very keen to change status of the sale, etc WITHOUT approval from myself, given this was a strict requirement specified by me. I am also not impressed by their Branch Management Team due to lack of co-ordination across departments.

The initial contact, Mr. Jason Paris, at the agency valued the property to my surprise at about 10% more than I expected to achieve. However the actual sale price achieved was approximately in line with what I had initially expected. I was surprised that I did not receive a formal letter from the agent setting out the price that the property was to be marketed at and the commission rate although we had agreed these details verbally and I had signed the sale instruction. I'm sorry that you had some reservations about the agreed marketing price which was agreed on the day. Sometimes the public do not always agree with our valuations ! As I recall the final selling price was less than 5% from the oriiginal asking price so a job well done. Jason Paris -

I initially dealt with Gemma Sobey. She was enthusiastic and proactive in showing me properties that matched my specifications. I put in an offer on a property that was accepted, but was quickly 'gazumped' which was very disheartening. This agent won my respect by very quickly and proactively finding me another opportunity which in fact turned out to be a better match than the first property I 'lost out on', turning round my disappointment into a real satisfaction with finding a property that I really loved. The sale on the property I've just exchanged on was not without a few issues (related to the lease and a rather long chain - and a variety of different issues cropping up) I feel I should mention that Bonnie Pooley - sales progression was invaluable here in keeping me in the loop, I never had to chase her and Ms Pooley was very proactive in ensuring that a complex and rather 'worried' chain of clients held together to the end, to the mutual benefit of all. I felt both professionals worked hard to acheive a positive result and are both a credit to Streets Ahead.

Great service from all departments regarding my purchase. A definite mention has to be made for Bonnie Pooley in the sales progression department. Through the whole process I cannot recall a time when I felt she wasn’t doing her best to keep everything moving smoothly. She is an efficient thorough professional. A credit to the company, and a pleasure to speak to.

 This happened on a Saturday and I had to wait until Monday after 7pm for new keys, we never got the extra sets either that we had asked for so were out of pocket having to get new keys cut to give to the family.
We had a low offer on the property but we never received any paperwork on this and we asked if they could push the buyer up and never heard another thing on this.
People were hard to get hold of and didnt call back (this was not just at the South Croydon branch)

He said "we\'ll ask to see if the vendor would HYPOTHETICALLY accept an offer of £££ and test the water\' then phoned back the next day and said congratulations, you\'re offer is accepted and put me through to the sales team..! We did buy the house, but at times, I questioned whose decision it was! Literally appalling service, all fairly unfriendly too (other than Bonnie). I have heard them referred to as \'Streaks Behind\' which I think is accurate. I expect they are cheap which is why the service is slapdash. They pester you to death when they want something, and ignore you when you need something.  showed me around the property on both visits and was brilliant too, with tonnes of enthusiasm and good advice.
Really appreciate all of the work the South Croydon team put in to help me complete this process. Looked with several other agents at properties before settling on this one and whilst the property is the most important thing, the other agents did not compare.

Gemma has been invaluable in our search for our first house to buy. She understood how important our first home together was to us, and really listened to what we were looking for and tailored our viewings around our requirements and schedules. She is enthusiastic and proactive without being pushy, she dealt quickly and efficiently with a couple of issues that arose, and she has the patience of a saint!
We are putting our search on hold for the moment as an opportunity has arisen abroad, but if that falls through, we will be calling Gemma straight away to ask for her expert help in continuing our search.
