I contacted Michael Prowse direct because he had previously been active in selling a property for me. The circumstances of the new sale were delicate as I was selling the property as Executor of an Estate. I went back to Michael due to my experience of him as calm, knowledgable authoritative and above all respectful. He listened carefully to how I wished matters to proceed, including timescales regarding clearing the property and getting it on the market at an optimum moment. Michael effected a prompt sale, advised me with care and consideration regarding offers on the property and kept me in touch with matters at all times. He responded promptly to all my queries. He was particularly helpful and effective towards the end of the process, engineering the completion with all parties involved. I would recommend him highly and believe him to be an asset to the Southville Branch of C J Hole

I wanted to say a big thank you to Michael and the team at CJ Hole, Southville, Bristol for helping me to sell my house in what is currently a difficult economic climate . It has been many years since I have sold a house and property laws have changed and are now more complex, therefore, it was reassuring that I could rely on Michael’s professionalism and expertise to guide me through the tricky processes throughout the sale and to keep on top of every stage and to liaise with everyone (solicitors, purchasers and me) in a timely way so matters progressed to the eventual sale. All the team had good local knowledge and showed genuine enthusiasm for selling local Victorian houses.

Being a cash buyer of this Bedminster property and the property being chain free, I was seeking a quick completion. The problem was the solicitors not doing their job and the process dragged on for 4 months. Michael Prowse kept all parties informed, chased the solicitors and pro actively ensured that everything that could be done was. as time progressed I feared that the vendor would become as agitated as I and pull out, not good after my expenses to date. I am sure that without Michael assuring the vendor, chasing all relevant parties that the sale would have crumbled. Fully recommended

I first attempted to sell my rented apartment through CJ Hole in 2010 but in a diffcult market climate there was little interest, and Michael Johnson rightly advised me to wait until the market improved. I then tried again a year ago but after no sale by August, the tenants having vacated in May, C J Hole obtained me an excellent tenant, followed quickly by a sale to an investor and we completed just before Christmas. Throughout this process, Michael Johnson and his team have been very professional in their approach and what I liked most was that they kept me up to date on developments on a regular basis and maintained a keen interest throughout.

Both the vendor and my husband and I were desperate to get the sale of the property through as quickly as possible and Michael Prowse was fantastic at pushing the process forward. He kept in contact with solicitors on both sides and our mortgage advisor and ensured that there were no unnecessary delays. He was friendly, polite and very helpful and we are very grateful for the role he played in the purchase of our house. Without him, I have no doubt the process would have been a lot more lengthy and unpleasant.

Becky Holland has been a great lettings manager and always got back to us promptly if we ever had any queries throught our duration of the tenancy (1 year). James Dear was very helpful and went out of his way to help us when it came to the end of our tenancy and us moving into our new property. He always tried to come up with a solution which was great in a stressful situation. Would definitly reccommend and use them again (although we will no longer be renting)

We were really impressed with all the staff at CJ Hole. They worked hard to market our flat and get us a good price. They always ansered the phone and called us back. They listened to our feedback and always gave detailed feedback from buyers. The whole team were really personable. Pierre and the after sales team were helpful and patient. All in all we feel they work hard for their money and to ensure sales go through smoothly.

My partner and I have just started looking to buy our first property and have been taken out by C J Hole in Southville. We registered online with alot of Estate Agents in the area but only got a response from a couple. Michael Prowse called us the same day we registered and spoke to us in detail about what kind of house we would be looking for. We arranged to meet him in the office and he then took us out in his car and showed us a broad range of properties and spoke to us in detail about what kind of value we could add to the properties and gave us rough estimates of costs, which we, as first time buyers, had no real clue about. He seemed to have a very detailed understanding of the area, the schools, the houses themselves and was a pleasure to deal with. He took time to run us through the whole buying process and took alot of the worry out of it and we now feel much more confident in what we are doing. He is a credit to C J Hole and we look forward to dealing with him again soon. Thank You. Highly recommended !

I\'ve bought and sold a number of properties over the years, and have dealt with a number of agents. Some have been good, but of all the agents I have ever dealt with, CJ Hole were by far the best. They were so professional that it took a lot of the stress out of the business of moving home. They are, in fact, a credit to the industry, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My partner and I booked a viewing through CJ Hole for a property approximately 13 miles from my current home address. When we called to confirm the booking a couple of days prior, we were told that it had the go ahead, but unfortunately, thery had us booked in for a completely different address and time. We reconfirmed the address and time we wanted. Approximately 15 minutes before our viewing, we had a call from a gentlemen asking where we were as we were late! This company showed a rare combination of professionalism and verve at every stage. All members of the team - and they do work very well as a team - put a lot of care and enthusiasm into their work. They always did exactly what they said they would, invariably on time, and with unfailing courtesy and good humour. Their advice seemed spot-on, and honest. It was always a pleasure to deal with them, and the final outcome has been perfectly fair & reasonable. I chose this company rather than any of the others because clearly they know what they are talking about, and have great energy and determination.

We have just used C.J Hole (Southville branch) to let out our property after a failed attempt (not by C.J Hole!) to sell it some months earlier. From the start they were very clear in their services, prices, marketing strategies etc, and we genuinely feel they did as much as they could to let our house for us. Their initial valuation of the property was unfortunately a bit too optimistic, but this is perhaps a reflection of the current state of the property market and economic climate rather than personal error. I have found Cj Hole Southville to be very professional, knowledgable and approachable. I was very worried when I put my house on the market as there were lots of for sale boards on my street, which had been there for ages, and didn't want mine to hang around too. But Michael Johnson came round, he realistially valued my property and within days I had a realistic offer. Once I had an offer Michael gave me excellent advice and helped me make an informed decision. Once the sale was agreed I was quickly contaced by Pierre from their after sales department, who has beenkeeping in regular contact and guiding me through the sale process. I am still currrently looking for a property, and the sales team are constantly in touch with new properties for me to look at, and asking me for any feedback. I would recommend Cj Hole Southville to anyone! they have made quite a scarey process, seem effortless and stress free!!

Ive bought two investment properties through C J Hole Southville over the last couple of years and have been very pleased with the service I recieved. The Sales staff have a deep understanding of the area and the property market as a whole and the whole time I was looking i didn't feel pressured at all. The understanding that purchasing property is a hard choice and that I needed to be one hundred percent sure with my choices really came through and their patience was appreciatted. Once the purchases had gone throught the Lettings Manager, James Dear, was very helpful and helped me to balance rental Yield with the kind of tennants I wanted in my properties. Since day one of my tennants moving in I have had no problems and this year I'm looking forward to dealing with C J Hole again when I look for my third property. Once again I can't reccomend these profesionals enough, Thank you to all the team within Sales and Lettings.

Approached C j Hole with a property to rent of which I was in the process of refurbishment. Before the property had even been completed, they had managed to successful secure me a professional tenant of a rent that exceeded my expectations. All aspects of the tenancy are managed efficiently and I am lucky to say that I am not contacted with any minor repairs/issues etc. I would certainly recommend C J Hole to any future Landlords requiring respectable and approved tenants.

James has found me a number of Tenants for my properties, It is always a surprise how quickly he finds them. I have had no problems with any of the tenants, so the screening process must be very thorough. CJ Hole were very quick at obtaining me a tenant for my flat, they were extremely thorough in the referencing and paid over all the funds to me promptly. I particularly liked the guidance I got on the process on referencing, involving me throughout the process at every step and explaining the background to the tenants in detail so I felt happy to have them as tenents. I have used other agents to let property before and the experience has been bad, CJ Hole were the exception and I found them very helpful, professional and a pleasure to do business with.  to be told the manger was in branch, but on another call and he would call me back. No sooner had this call ended, The gentleman on the road called to advise me his manager was out of brancg, and was unable to call me back as requested, as he had been advised by a branch secretary! This did not seem to reflect on what I had been advised only a moment previously, and I can only put down to a bare faced lie. Is thi9s the way all prospective customers are treated? Low and behold, moments later the brach manager, Michael Johnson, did call me back. I can only descibe this conversation and his tone and manner as insulting at best! He was disrespectful, condesending, rude, patronising and petulent to say the least. When I requested he log an official complaint on my behalf due to the total lack of customer service and satisfaction, he advised me this can only be done in writing. I am a Compliance Officer for an Insurance Broker, and I know this to be infactual and incorrect. I asked if they were regulated byt the FSA, he advised me they were regulated by the Financial Ombudsman Service. This again is incorrect. Mr Johnsons reply was to tell me to do my homework, and hung up! THis sort of behaviour from a reputable company such as CJ Hole, and its branch manager is outrageous, and I will have no future dealings with them whatsoever. I would like this review to act as my official complaint and fully expect a responce to my complaint within 8 weeks of todays date, 17th May 2012. They also include sorting out the Utilities for you (very helpful!), even as part of their "tenant find" service, which we weren't offered by any other local agent.
