They seem to owe a lot of landlords a lot of money and their shop is now closed. It seems we may also be liable for the deposit that is missing too.
I've moved to Belvoir Lettings of Northampton, who have helped sort this mess. As they are ARLA registered, I am at least assured this can't happen again. I wish I'd known this sooner.Was this review helpful? Yes

Pay their clients late. Don't reply to chases. Don't reply to anything. Can't believe that any Service Company can get away with treating it's customers like this. We see, by ratings from other clients, that we are not alone. If you are looking for a good letting agent write Thomas and Co off your list quickly!

Landlords beware - do not use this company. We let our property through Thomas & Co for several years. There were months when they withheld payment to us - although the tenant had paid on time. There was always a glitch in the system, someone on holiday etc.After spending hundreds of pounds on a solicitor we decided to find a new agent. The tenants trashed our house - over 12 thousand pounds worth of damage. Thomas & Co made no attempt to contact us to return the deposit which I am sure they withheld. We have photos, emails to prove their negligence but unfortunately after numerous emails and unreturned phone calls we realise that the directors - who do not belong to any letting associations - are only interested in lining their own pockets.
