   The typical 'yeah we'll get it done' attitude from an estate agent, only for them to completely forget about our request. Zero transparency too. They told us that if we moved out on or after our 8 month break clause that there would be no penalty, so that is what we did. They then emailed us to say that we were being charged approximately £500 from our deposit as a penalty for moving out early. Apparently this cost is covered in a tiny and incomprehensible clause in the contract and is to cover the landlords costs to re-let the flat. Why not ask us if we can find people to take on the contract until it ends though? Also, they tried to deduct as much as possible from our deposit for everything they could think of and blamed us for condensation on the bathroom walls, even though we had previously complained about the lack of an extractor fan causing too much steam to build up after showers. They are a small agency but unfortunately it shows with a lack of thought and a distinctly deceptive nature. AVOID!

   After I had heard some great things about Taylor Gibbs I thought i\'d give them a go in renting out my flat in Highgate. Charlotte Bourne who handles rentals was completely on the ball. Not only did she find some fantastic tenants by the end of the week, she also made it easy for me and arranged all the necessities like the inventory check, the gas certificate etc. So I have been using the Highgate office for a number of years now with renting out my other properties and I haven\'t had any trouble. They are efficient and really take care of their tenants and landlords. I respect her honesty and her attention to detail. I highly recommend them.

   Appauling service. A furnished flat was promised and not provided (only very bad quality beds that are of such poor quality that you can feel every springs). Repairs were promised which we are still chasing months down the line. Those repairs that WERE carried out they attempted to charge us for (despite being for problems that were in existence when we moved in!). The staff cannot be trusted, they will tell you one thing on the phone and then later deny everything. They have on several occasions entered our property whilst we were out, giving us only minutes notice, and for no good reason. AVOID this agents at all cost.

   Taylor Gibbs appear to be an honest, fair agency but they are pretty good at laying the shine on. Promises made before contract have been completely broken (for example, the agent I spoke to said they could be contacted personally at any time - as soon as the contract was signed I was handed over to yet another agency for any problems) and they attempt to extract money at every occasion. When any problems with the property are raised, the first thing TG try to do is make the tenant pay, in spite of notes on the inventory.

   I am disappointed in this company as they appeared to be a small local business but either they've had a very bad experience with tenants before and hence assume all tenants have criminal intent or they just come from a money grubbing point of view and are good at hiding it, at least until you've signed on the dotted line.

   Although it seems harsh to criticise an estate agent for being an estate agent, these guys give you the impression that they are more honest that others when in fact, they are a bit worse.

   Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent service and I felt I could trust them, unlike most agents. Would recommend them to anyone.
