Bad, unefective, slow...
We rented a property during two years, the process was really slow, we renew the contract and we had to go to the agency to sign it a few times because they did a few mistakes, then we had to wait two months to get a copy of the contract. They wanted to charge us 60 + VAT per person and after dealing with then we agreed paying 60 in total. Now, after two year they are sending us invoices saying we did not paid the fees.
The first time they just send us the invoice by email without any explanation. Very bad customer service. Horrible dealing with them.Was this review helpful? Yes

Very unreliable agency! Two of their agents promised to contact me and never did. I tried to call them many times to arrange a viewing - they were completely ignoring phone calls. First Alan Thompsons promised to call me but stopped picking up his phone, then I got a phone call from his colleague, she also promised to call me back in an hour and disappeared. Very disappointing.

I used Stirling Ackroyd to let out my property and they have consistently achieved more money and offered a better service than any of the other agents within the local area.

I am currently in the process of renting a property through Stirling and Ackroyd, which has been the slowest most frustrating process i have ever endured. The staff are completely incompetent and do not communicate amongst themselves, meaning that I continuously receive different answers and promises from the different members. My agent has made false promises for contract dates, for moving in dates and has not returned urgent calls when promised, resulting in me wasting a lot of time preparing to move and then being told that 'moving day is now tomorrow'. In fact moving day has now been moved to 4 or more days behind schedule. I am a university student and have serious work to get on with, but as i have no house to live in I am unable to even attend and instead I am waiting by my packed car 200 miles away waiting for more lies about when i should be able to move in. They are the most incompetent, useless, and uncaring people I have ever dealt with.
