We have been with Spencers for the best part of 20 years and really believe that the whole team (Marc at lettings and Pauline, Iris and Helen etc at the management office) are extremely professional and most importantly, they make sure that they get the job done - assisting us in taking some of the stress out of being a Landlord in East London!

Rented a property from Ben through Spencers, he was very informative throughout the whole process from start to finish. I followed his advice an was delighted when I got a call from him to say that a property had become available in the area I had requested. He was pleasent also friendly and made himself available to answer all my pre-tenancy worries. I recently moved in and I feel Ben has gone out of his way to make sure that I was completely happy with my New Home.

I have dealt with a few agents in the past but i found Ben to be very trustworthy and helpfull compared to most and definately provided a very helpfull service. Spencers property services themselves provided me with no problems to note as the whole experiance went as expected with out any hicups.

I have been using Rayners and now Spencer for a number of years. I am delighted with the service they provide and the tenants they have provided to my properties. I was introduced to Alex Sheeley from Spencer Property by a friend and client who already had dealings with the company. All my tenants have come from blue chip companies and the service I get is second to none. They offer a solid trustworthy, no hidden agenda service. I was informed by christine (head of maintenance) that the boiler was not working, they supplied estimate (not inflated) from a reputable technician and repaired in 48hrs. Irene Collins head of accounts is on the ball also with regard to issues I had with a water bill which was for a past tenant, she managed to have it paid by them. They treat you the way you would like to be treated and and that is why I would use them time and time again!! 100% confidence and they are now selling properties for me..........the only way is Spencer's!!

Rashad Cheema is my main contact at the Forest Gate office and he has let a number of properties for us over the past year or two and the service he has provided has been excellent. Rash's colleagues have also been very helpful. The overall service is very professional and the results have been excellent.

Very good service I was happy with the way the property viewings were carried out which lead me into being intereted
In one of the properties as the property was very well shown and explained. After I chose the property I attended the office to place an deposit on it , very good atmosphere of the office and was dealt with professional and with alot of kindness. I was very pleased with the way I was explained the procudure and how the estate agent dealt with handling my paper and ensuring that I met the landlords requirements .! Member of staff called Russell carried our the viewing and done excellent in giving accurate information about the property and helping us get all our papers together and ready to submit and risha done well in ensuring that I was happy and there was no misunderstanding between us and the landlord . Referencing was done quick and well and all the paperwork was completed..great job guys well doneWas this review helpful? Yes

We found Spencers to be very efficient whilst finding a new property to rent. Russell was extremely helpful and found us somewhere almost immediately. He also arranged for our current tenancy to end earlier so we could move in quicker and resolved any other issues that came up very quickly. Spencers are happy to help throughout the whole process and make it very easy at what can be a very stressful time. We will always go to them first if we need to find a property in the future.

Mark and his team are professional and friendly - they do want to offer you a good service and find you good long term professional tenants. What more could you ask for ? The admin back up is very good too.

I have been working with Spensors Property Services for a long time and I have to say they dont over promise and under deliver like other Estate agents. They have taken good care of my property and through this we have a very good relationship. The staff are hard working, committed, positive and helpful and I will recommend all landlords to work with Spensors if you are looking for agency who have good Management skills.

'Spencers Property Services ' is, in my experience, an excellent letting agency. I have always found the staff to be totally trustworthy and matters are dealt with in a very professional manner. They work to minimise any problems involved in letting, while showing the necessary attention to detail when appropriate. Communications are sent in a regular and prompt manner. Mark McIlveney, the Leyton Branch Manager, is very knowledgeable about the lettings business and shows honesty and reliability. I have received an efficient service over the year and have had an excellent professional tenant as I had requested & who has agreed a further term. I would highly recommend their letting and management service.

The worst Agents EVER! The list of problems is long and completely unforgiving!
The problems started before we even moved in.....upon viewing we had requested that a shower tap be installed with a bracket to hold it before we signed a contract, this was written in the contract. The day we moved in, we still had the rubber shower attachment your Nanna had from the 80's. After ringing and pointing out that the updated tap had been agreed, I spoke to A who proceeded to tell me that the rubber attachment was new and that is what we had agreed. I cussed him out so badly that they quickly changed it. The kitchen ceiling was always leaking when someone used the bath/shower. The bathroom sink was constantly blocked even though a supposed plumber came round ever 2 months, but still did not manage to fix it, and then on top of it the landlord took 3 months to return out deposit, despite us leaving the property in a good clean condition.I would never use these agents again

In my dealings with Spencers i have found them very professional and on the ball. I have mainly dealt with Sean Hewitt who I felt gave an excellent service when I needed to let my property. He found me fantastic tenants in a couple of weeks and secured me a rental value above my expectations. Even after the deal went through I would ring Sean to ask advice regarding other matters and found he was always ready to answer any questions I had. I am now going to be selling my property and felt no hesitation in appointing Spencers to act as sole agents on my behalf. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone in the future.

The agent that dealt with my property was Rashad Cheema. I cannot praise his patience, understanding and negociating skills enough! He took time out of his own days off to dealt with my tenants, which were proving to be annoyingly unreasonable and demanding for both Landlord and Agent alike.
The tenants were demanding, more furniture, new carpets (because their feet were getting cold when walking barefoot!), the removal of existing furniture and noisy floorboards. Rashad, very patiently, expalined to them, a number of times, the basis on which the rental was agreed... the patience of a saint!!
Both he and Pauline Howes(Maintenance Dept) dealt with the outstanding rental problems, which started at the very outset of the tenancy. And through all this, they maintained a friendly and professional manner. I could not have managed without them.
They come HIGHLY COMMENDED.

I have been using Spencers, Leyton Branch for the last 6 years and the service I received was excellent. Regurly they get in touch with me while the search for the suitable tenant was in progress. They are helpful, reliable, trustworthy and honest people. Mark Mcllveney, the Manager, is approachable and easy to talk to.
I believe that people working at Spencers,Leyton Branch, are asset to the company and I would give 10 out of 10 marks to them. Well done and good luck for the future.

Rash at Forest Gate has successfully found us two properties now and he really knows what peoples different needs are, we have always had a very good service and will always go back to Rash at Forest Gate if we ever find we need to move again or if we ever consider buying a property in the future.

I was recommended to contact Spencers as I knew they looked after other rentals in this development and as a new landlord I have found the process very easy, Great communication from Sean Hewitt at every stage of the process, with replies to e-mails and requests dealt with promptly. The property was tenanted from the day after I completed on the purchase and Spencer’s wasted no time in getting a suitable tenant.
My mother has a rental property in the same block which she rents through Sean at Spencer’s and is now three months into to her rental with no problems at all – we are both very happy and would recommend Spencer’s

I am extremely happy with the service I received from Spencers Property Services. I dealt with Alex Sheeley who was very helpful and within a couple of days three prospective tenants had viewed my property; it was rented within a week to tenants who had been checked and verified. Their charges were reasonable and they were able to advise me on a number of matters to do with the property and rental in general; I never felt that I paid for anything that I could have done myself. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

my experience of spencers walthamstow branch, was professional ,efficient and courteous, sean and his team managed to find tenants quickly and secure a decent monthly rental , in the tough time after jan 2011.

The service I received from the agent (Rashid Cheema/0 was first class and very professional. in fact I had some issues with the tennat when they first moved in and rashid smoothed over everything and ensured the transition to Glenmead was as seemless as possible. 3 months on Rashid still calls me out of courtesy to see if all is still well.

Ben Britton was very helpful in securing a property. He is very honest about the property and flexible to arrange viewings around our busy schedules. He is always available for questions and gets back to us with answers as soon as possible. He is knowlegable about the area we are renting in. Having contacted several agents in ilford over the past few weeks, I found spencers properties at Cranbrook Road, & met there with Mr,Alex. The service I received from spencer's staff was excelent.They didn't attempt to give us the normal agent patter, but simply listened to what I wanted and gave several options for ensuring I received great value.
When it came to completing the documents, They were well laid out and clear. They genuinely wanted to ensure that I was happy with everything. So by this time, With the services I received from Spencers are very satisfatory. I will keep posting my feedbacks for future services from spencers..
I guess i'm trying to say i would recommend Spencers to anyone.
