		<description><![CDATA[We arrived at the house for a viewing in good time; agent didn't turn up.  Phoned agent to ask where they were and was told that the property had already been let, and that they had tried to get hold of us.  Not sure what method they used if any, but it certainly wasn't via the telephone.

Too bad I didn't check this site before wasting time and petrol.

		<description><![CDATA[We moved into rented accommodation through your move a year ago , the first sign that this was not the most professionally run organisation was being asked to nip to the cash point in order to pay a holding deposit during our viewing, while the estate agent went outside to tell the next set of viewers waiting in the car park to go home ! 

After the first 6 months we had our inspection at which point we raised a few concerns we had with the property and were told the following :
Ref damage to the kitchen light fitting - its been like it for a while it must be safe
The kitchen cupboard panels that arent secure and fall off and hit you on the head - if you are worried just take them off
The leaking back doors - put a towel  down
The bath that doesnt drain properly - call us when it gets really bad

Despite this we genuinely liked our little house and really wanted to stay, we were then told we would have to pay another set of fees to extend our tenancy beyond 6 months naturally we asked if we could extend for a year rather then pay again in 6 months time - we were told could only do 6 months at a time as the property was due to be redecorated and rent adjusted . We paid our fees 3 weeks later we got a phone call to say our property had been put on the market (about an hour after we had just seen it on their sales website)

We immediately started looking for an alternative property to rent and soon realised that your move dominated most of the rentals in the area and were deliberately avoiding our calls and emails requesting to view (I assume to keep up in the property as long as possible until it sold) .

 We eventually found somewhere else to rent through a different agent, as soon as we notified your move we would not be renewing our tenancy the property was also put on their rental website. We have spent the last few weeks being bombarded with phone calls from both the sales and rental dept booking / changing / moving viewings, left right and centre and then turning up when they aren't supposed to claiming &quot;i thought you wouldn't mind&quot; 

Whats more when we leave the property in 5 weeks we have a list as long as your arm of things we have to do in order to get back our deposit including professionally cleaning the house from top to bottom and providing invoices as proof - I cannot wait to get away from this awful company - NEVER AGAIN !<br />This person would not use Your Move again.]]></description></item><item>

		<description><![CDATA[Your Move (or Crap Move as they are referred to by my house mates) have over the year we have had to deal with them proved useless, firstly their communications have been poor, failing to send information or only sending incomplete information.  They get aggressive over the phone when you don't respond immediately.  The staff are often rude or difficult.  When we renewed our tenancy (the house and landlady are both good your move are the problem) two of my house mate were billed twice for the renewal fee, whilst we have all had problems with them processing payments made over the phone.  Lastly they signed us up with Spark energy for our Gas and Electric, who are terrible, but they also had a new gas meter installed before we moved in and then did not inform spark so we are now having to deal with that.

The only way to deal with this company is to go over their heads directly to the property owner if you can.<br />This person would not use Your Move again.]]></description></item><item>

		<description><![CDATA[I called the agent at 12 noon and made an appointment to view the property on the same day at 3pm. After making the appointment, I discussed with my partner, and agreed we needed to move the appointment by an hour. I tried to call back constantly, but got no answer on the phone, and there was no voicemail service.

I decided we would have to honour the agreed appointment since we could not contact Jackie. We drove for half an hour before we arrived at the house at 3pm and the estate agent had not turned up, and she did not turn up.

At 5.30 pm I received a call from Jackie, who called to see whether she had made a viewing appointment with me, as she had forgotten to write it down. I advised her that the appointment had already passed, as it was supposed to be 3pm today. 

I will avoid viewing any further properties which are being sold through Your Move. I do not appreciate being messed around, driving far out of my way to be let down.<br />This person would not use Your Move again.]]></description></item><item>

		<description><![CDATA[The woman (Totton branch) who dealt with our tenancy and signing of the contract was pushy and always rushing us. She gave us false information, took our money, gave us the keys and practically shoved us out the door. We signed a 12 months contract and on moving day we noticed the property had not been cleaned, someone elses belongings were still there and after 6 weeks the property started to show signs of problems. Your Move did not respond to any complaints and most major issues had to be dealt with at our own expense despite the contract stating it was Your Move/landlord that had to do any major repairs (leaks, replacement of white goods etc) at our own expence. We recieved no refunds and in the end we had to seek legal advice as we were being made to live in these horrific conditions (known to them). We had ruined furniture and furnishings, clothes and other belongings. I would never ever use Your Move again and I hope nobody else does as the way they treated us was disgusting and made our first home a miseray and made us ill.<br />This person would not use Your Move again.]]></description></item><item>

The woman had no customer service skills, was rude and felt the need to slam the phone down on me. 		<description><![CDATA[Your move is by far the most poorly organized and expensive load of rubbish i have ever paid for, whats even worse they do not disclose there over priced fees.

I have been dodged and missled by there organization. We had a tennant in the property last year who left with rent areas, we were informed by a neighbour that the tennant had vacated the premises, luckily we were able to secure the property,.

The ex tenneant had handed the keys back weeks before Your move got in touch to tell us this had happened.

Dispite numerous phone calls to there head office accounts department and the (pass the book) Skelmersdale branch it too 3 months to get a straight answer.

We reluctantly relet the same house through them again, What a huge mistake.

The new tennant has moved in the end of February 2012 we were expecting a payment but when i called the accounts department they said the 450.00 had been swallowed up in fees.

they did not at any time disclose any of these charges.

I run and direct two business and i have never expercenced such an unprofessional and poor quality service.

Even the staff sound like seasoned complaint takers and asked me to complain in writing.

So i am spending my time reposting this blog for the next couple of days to make sure if anyone is thinking of using YOUR move they think twice about it.

Terrible service, staff that do not contact you back, undisclosed charges.

		<description><![CDATA[I put my flat  up for sale recently and decided to use 3 agents on a multi agency basis with an agreement that the agent that sold the flat would charge a fee and the others would not receive anything. To my regret I chose Your Move as one of the agents, the service was horrendous from day one, firstly their fee for selling was higher than the other agents but Your Move convinced me that they could justify their higher fees because their service was so superior to other agents they could justify it, what a load of rubbish! They were incompetent from start to finish, it took them 3 visits just to get the property marketed, first of all they came out to take photos and floor measurements but the batteries had gone on the measuring equipment and the agent couldnt be bothered to replace them so said he would re-arrange a second visit to come back and get the floor measurements. On the next visit a different guy turned up with a camera (how are floor measurements are meant to be taken with a camera???) so a third visit had to be arranged just to get the floor measurements done. Marketing was delayed by 2 weeks whilst all this was going on, they didnt bother putting a For Sale board up and didnt bother with any feedback at all. They only generated one viewing the whole time the property was on the market and did not bother giving us a call after the viewing to let us know how it went. Thankfully one of the other agents (who in comparison to Your Move were 100 times more helpful and efficient)sold the property at full asking price. I informed Your Move that the property was sold and heard absolutely nothing from them for several weeks, there was no letter confirming the property was no longer being marketed or any recognition from them that they had received my call until a bill dropped through my door for £300 for a 'withdrawl fee' I was gobsmacked but ignored the first letter as I thought it may have been an automated letter but then I received a reminder within 7 days which I again ignored and then 7 days later I got a very threatening letter telling me I had 7 days to pay otherwise I would be referred to a debt collection agency to recover the money. How Your Move can treat customers so badly, offer a ridiculosly poor service and then have the cheek to charge for it is beyond me. I am currently fighting this charge with them and will take it up with the propery ombudsman if necessary. Hasten to say I would never use Your Move for anything ever again and would not recommend them to anyone!!!!<br />This person would not use Your Move again.]]></description></item><item>

		<description><![CDATA[The whole experience took so long both although i was chain free and so were the sellers! It took 3 months due to missing paperwork and miscommunication. Every time we thought the sellers finally got everything sorted something new would pop up, it was like never ending nightmare. In the end the rushed everything to exchange i had dozens of phone calls every day cause the sellers wanted to exchange but still paperwork was missing clause on the deeds had to be changed and they expected me to pay when it wasn't my house yet and my solicitor was just making sure i was buying something i could later on sell with no problem. Once we exchanged and they got my money they slowed down, couldn't get the keys for the property i practically owned the were supposed to complete on monday then it went to tuesday then when eventually they've completed i was told they had my keys. then i was told the sellers mum had the keys they had to chase the mum which was unavailable and here i was yet again stressed out 7months pregnant  and wasted another day waiting around and making 100 of phone calls. Absolutely disorganised uncaring manner of handling their work and insuring the customers are well informed and satisfied. 		<description><![CDATA[Aftrer only a short while it turned out that our flat had a badly fitted window in the sleeping room and because of that there was a problem with dampness. Also, we soon noticed that the floorboards in the whole building are creaking badly. Both landlord AND property agency in Surbiton were notified of the mold issue but rather than getting the problem fixed they just filled their pockets with our money and left us cleaning the mold up ourselves constantly. The only thing we got was a dehumidifier which would allegedly help..... it only increased our electricity bill by a big margin.... the property agency did not do a damn thing about any problem that we reported.<br />This person would not use Your Move again.]]></description></item><item>

		<description><![CDATA[moved into property sept 2008 noticed straight away there was woodworm leaving massive holes in the floor, the oven didn't work either. Our weight was supported by the crap carpet. After 3 years of complaining the floor got replaced  in late summer 2011 which took 2 days and we had to still live here.. 3 weeks later we get a carpet without underlay. 2 months after the carpet fitter had fit the carpets he was back at my house telling me he still hadn't been paid for fitting the carpets! Took 3 years to replace a faulty oven n it wasnt till i asked the gas man to condemn the damn thing did anything get done. Gas fire has been dondemned since summer 2010 and were still waiting for a replacement. Now we havent any underlay we feel the cold alot more and its a waste to use central heating because it doesn't heat the house like it used to with proper underlay. After numerous calls to Southampton and promises of a new fire i'm still waiting! What a f@£$%ing joke this company are!

		<description><![CDATA[Back in March,April and May of 2010, we made contact with Ms Allgood regarding the purchase of a property that you were currently selling at the time, however at that time we decided not to purchase that particular property but were so impressed by Ms Allgood's professional and friendly manner, that when we did find a property that we wished to purchase we did not hesitate to come back to her to request her services as Mortgage adviser.
 
 
Throughout the whole process of buying our very first home, i personally found it very stressful and scary, and when you have never purchased a house before it can be so very daunting, however Helen was ALWAYS on hand, I'm sure to her detriment at times. When ever i had a silly question or a very real worry, I would email  Helen  and she was always there to answer anything i needed to ask and this was often either on her day off or at the weekend. 
 
 
I can not praise Helen's work enough and as a result i would always recommend 'Your Move' to friends , family and colleagues based on Helen's unwavering support in what was a really tough time for us.

		<description><![CDATA[We have got the impression that the landlord's interests don't matter too much as long as Your Move can get tenants in and start collecting their fees. 

Our last let in particular was an absolute disaster. The tenants' were in low income jobs but we were told that would be OK because there would be a guarantor. No it wasn't OK. The tenants couldn't afford to pay the rent themselves when the winter fuel bills came in and they left after only 11 months. So we had to pay change of  tenancy fees all over again. Had we been told that one tenant had CCJs we would definitely have said no. To make matters worse the inventory clerk used by Your Move must have 'needed to go to Specsavers' . He failed to notice and report the heavy soiling of some walls and carpets (caused by the tenants lighting coal fires in direct contravention of their tenancy agreement) and we were unable to claim adequate compensation for the cleaning, replacement and repainting required. 

Your Move then offered us more unsuitable tenants, ignoring our instructions that we didn't want people with pets or in receipt of benefits. This was the head office rather than the local branch. It should have been patently obvious to anyone with commonsense that the tenants they were offering would be unsuitable. 

We have now taken our business to an independent local letting agent. They charge only 10% commission, they carry out their own comprehensive inventories and they quickly found us tenants who are totally suitable for our property.<br />This person would not use Your Move again.]]></description></item><item>

Today for example we were promised 6 viewings in the form of an &quot;open house&quot; and only 1 person turned up who stayed for 30 seconds, did not ask any questions and had no interest in the property. The agent had no knowledge of the property because he had to ask us if we still had a cellar? I phoned to find out what was going on and was told sorry this has never happened before but they ALL cancelled because of the weather!!!!  it was not even raining! Hmmm that old chestnut! Their time keeping and feedback has not been positive, the agent turned up at our property at a different time they arranged with us. I was told they thought they could do some things but they found out without telling me that agreements had been changed.  It has  ended up that I am managing when it comes to any problems.  The workmen they suggest charge 1 1/2 times over the going rate.  I have been lied to and AST has wrong information in it.  The only contact has to be via email this means I am tied to my computer.  Their charges are very expensive.  An inventory was taken and signed before cleaners had come in.  Cost over £100.00.  Useless.  The managing consists of sitting in the office taking the money. They told me that I could have a viewing but it would have to be with someone from sales, not lettings. Who didnt know about the letting at all. Went to view the house and wanted to rent. It was agreed that I could rent. Then a few days later before I had even done the references was told that it was to be rented to someone else at a higher price. Throughout the process the lady that I dealt with was incredibly rude, inefficient and unhelpful. 		<description><![CDATA[As soon as we opened the door to our property we were greeted with a dirty house with stained carpets filth on all the floors, electrical sockets damaged as to expose live electrical terminals, light fittings hanging from kitchen and bathroom ceelings, doors not being able to be opened without a good shuv, to name the worst.
The estate agent initially helped to get the house partially presentable, but was very slow to get any of the defects rectified, and on rectification, would only alow certain defects to be repaired.
We have since had more defects which have yet to be rectified.
Yourmove will not do anything unless they get in contact with the landlord first, they have not backed us up once, they seem to be taking the landlords side with every issue which arrises.<br />This person would not use Your Move again.]]></description></item><item>

And I waited and waited.......at 1:30pm, I left since it was clear that the agent was not going to show up. When I got home I noticed that the listing was gone from rightmove so I looked it up directly on your move's website and saw that it now said let agreed. So apparently they managed to tell the agent not to bother showing the house but didn't have the courtesy to call and tell me!! I got to drive 21 miles roundtrip and sit and wait for them. Well the worst thing was their attitude they said they cannot come and cannot help (even though their office is less than 2 miles away from the place) Most importantly they were RUDE, ARROGANT and practically USELESS...however after reading these reviews I am so glad nothing went ahead, I would have certainly regretted. 		<description><![CDATA[I was looking to rent a 2 bed flat in southampton and then I saw &quot;your-move&quot; with a promising ADVERT on their website. (Beleive me the ADVERT was very deceiving and said that heating was included in the rent. The heating is never turned on and I had to purchase my own and now am paying electric heating bills every month.)

I arranged for a viewing of the flat in an apartment. A woman called HOLLY showed me the flat and because she did not want to lose a customer, dint mention many issues with the flat (e.g. bathroom shower was leaking, boiler needs servicing etc..) and convinced me to take it for £795 a month.

After this they charged me 300£ reference fees and took my details wherein they had spelt my name wrongly inspite of me clearly telling them my name. I realised when I received a wrong name on my council tax bill.

You could imagine the pain I went through in organising the repairs after I moved in and realised the shower and boiler issue.

Also they dint mention that the washing machine was shared with all, in the basement and costs 4 quid for 1 wash and 1 quid to dry. that was extra money off my sleeves.

Whenever I complain they say they would call me back and they never do.

This would go on till my contract ends.

		<description><![CDATA[I recently bought a property through Your Move in Rothwell, Leeds, West Yorkshire.  The vendors actually warned me when we viewed that they thought Your Move were useless.  The sale took a long time to go through and although Your Move can't really be blamed for this, their updates were only provided after I repeatedly chased them, and the information that they gave was incredibly minimal.  The office seems to be understaffed and the phones are rarely answered the first time you ring.  I think they only managed to sell the property because the vendor dropped the price of their property so low that they were practically giving it away.  I would certainly never use them when selling a property in the future if this is the way they deal with their purchasers.<br />This person would not use Your Move again.]]></description></item><item>

		<description><![CDATA[Avoid at all costs. I rented a place with them this year, only to find that they hide fees, inflate them, or intentionally tell you about them at the last minute when there's little you can do about them.

They charge fees that other letting agents have never heard of, and they are VERY dear.

They also double charge an incoming and outgoing tenant for the same thing (i.e. inventory) - so expect to pay both a check-in and a check-out fee which will run into hundreds of pounds. 

If you wish to extend your contract (which they will insist upon, and will lie through their teeth that you HAVE to), they will charge you nearly £200 to do so. Oh, and that's every 6 months.

He told me he had 2 people ready to buy our Property and would match their fee on the basis they would sell for a lower fixed amount. When I got my contract it had their fixed amount and a copy of the Sales details for our house. When I eventually found a buyer the store manager told me she was not interested what we had agreed verbally, and that she wanted the full amount, despite that not being what we had agreed.

I complained to their Complaints department against this sharp practice and asking them to investigate. So far all that has happened is I now receive regular letters and calls from their legal department telling me they will take me to court if I refuse to pay the full amount.

On top of all of this, the Store manager rang around all of the local solicitors to see if I had sold my house yet !! I never seen such outrageous behaviour and have formally complained to the Office of Fair Trading. I can now see from other stories that this is common practice. 		<description><![CDATA[When looking for someone to market my flat in late February this year, I decided that Your Move would be a good bet. In addition to this, I also took up the option of the HIP pack, with payment to be deferred until the property sold. 

During the last 4 months I have had a total of two viewings. The first resulted in Your Move losing the keys, the second resulted in my property being left for 2 days with the door not only unlocked, but left ajar!

After the latest episode, I decided to withdraw the property from Your Move and changed to an alternative agent who has proved to be exceptional on all levels. This step resulted in me being charged for my HIP prior to selling. When I requested that Your Move settle this as a gesture of goodwill, I was told the contract for the outstanding monies were with a 3rd party. At no time did they acknowledge that Your Move had already been paid by the third party.

After getting a totally unsatisfactory response from Your Move on all of the above, I have now referred the matter to the Property Ombudsman. 

I would not recommend this company to anyone. The general level of customer service is appalling and they cannot be trusted with the security of your property

I have only given a one star rating as I am unable to give less.

Avoid the Your Move Willersly branch at all costs unles you have a thing for being ignored and treated like shit.

Got conned into renting a beautiful looking 4 bed property in SW16. 

Turns out this property had been cosmetically reconstructed to conceal the fact that it had been subsiding for 15 years and was on Homes From Hell. 

Wouldnt have minded the million and one little problems apart from the main ones being a roof that leaked through 2 floors in various places, various showers and taps that leaked through floors, and an inadequate boiler system. 

We were conned from the outset. Verbal, written and emailed requests to sort everything out have all but been completely ignored. Emails dated from several months ago still havent been opened. Legal action hasnt even phased them and got them into action.

They are incompetant, unproffesional, rude and incapable of rational human conversation in any medium.

Two days ago an unknown person with a set of keys entered the property without prior consent with a set of keys. Your move claim they didnt give any keys out and dont even seem to care about finding out for us if it had something to do with the landlord. 

I am on the verge of treating this as a criminal incident involving an intruder. 

Your Move Willersly has played a huge part in assisting our landlord in breaching the contract several times repeatedly.

The following is the last in a series of unanswered emails from several months ago. I am now trying one last attempt to get things sorted before i get solicitors involved.....

Here is a list of all leaks as on Thursday 15th October 2009


- Flat Roof still not repaired efficiently after third fix. leaks through eaves in various places which finds its way through to bedroom on 1st floor below via the light fitting. this is electrically unsound and makes the room almost uninhabitable when it is raining.


-Shower in 2nd floor large bathroom is leaking down in various places that appear to be running around the course of the whole tray. The water is finding its way in several places through the kitchen ceiling through light fittings and down walls. Absolutely electrically unsafe, a total eyesore, and makes this shower unusable.


-Sink in 2nd floor bathroom is leaking which also finds its way into kitchen downstairs. We have a pint glass under neath that needs emptying every so often. Its where the tap has been badly fit into the sink and the water escapes around it. It also doesn't help that the basin is the size of a petri dish, but that cant be helped, as its the fashion to install pretty things that barely function nowadays.


-Leak under kitchen sink that fills a large saucepan a day. Which spills over.


Basically there arent many units that use water in this house left that aren't absolutely buggered. It is obvious that some of these might be down to the fact that the house was on Homes from Hell and was subsiding for 15 years, and the house is constantly moving. It is also painfully obvious that the whole house refurbishment was put together by inept money saving builders.


Nothing new here for you to hear that we are all unhappy and confused as to why you would not phone Hannah Smith and Neil Dawson, following their phone calls to report this to you, sometime ago. And why it took a phone call from myself, the third person to enquire about all these problems, for you to tell me that SWS are looking to get insurance money to sort this out.


This house was on Homes from Hell. It took the previous owner 15 years to get an insurance payout to sort out all the problems he had. Hopefully they can sort this out sooner. 


Please would you forward me the phone number of the maintenance guy Jay, who works for SWS. Maybe if they hear in person how terribly bad it is they might come and do something about it quicker.


We enjoy living here, but this really is close to unacceptable, and if you had a morsel of care within you all this would have been sorted long ago.


FURTHER TO ALL THESE LEAKING PROBLEMS THE RADIATOR IN THE 3RD FLOOR TOP BEDROOM DOES NOT WORK. WINTER IS FAST APPROACHING AND I'M GETTING VERY COLD IN THERE. Please can this be sorted out? I trust that someone can be sent without having to get all this insurance nonsense involved. everything is damp in here and most uncomfortable.

When it came to moving out they sent an inventory person round - We had spent 3 full days cleaning the place , it really was spotless. After 3 years we were leaving it in a better state than the mess we moved in to yet at first they still tried to argue I was going to loose some deposit for a lost lampshade, a stain on a duvet we never used and some general dirt. They only gave in after I showed them all the photos I had taken.

My boyfriend and I rented a flat through Your move in Feb 2008 for a year, when we first moved in the flat wasnt very clean, oven was filthy, curry stains on the skirting of the kitchen etc etc. The radiotor in the living room did not work (we had a 1 bed flat therefore half our flat wasnt heated), it took over 3 weeks to be fixed and a contractor was sent out twice. The oven didnt work either when we moved in, switched on but no heat was emitted-this took a week to fix. Next to go was the tumble dryer, never really worked even after they fixed it so we gave up on it! In December we returned home at around 12am to find that the door wouldnt open, we spent the night in a hotel for which we were not reimbursed because in the contract there was a number for a 24hour locksmith (we dont carry the contract around with us). A locksmith was sent out and he couldnt get in through the door so he decided to lever the window open. He opened the lock and said he was going to Your move to ask them if he could fit a new lock. After he left we were locked in the flat (thankfully we were on the ground floor so we could jump out in case of an emergency). When he came back he changed the lock and left. I told Your move that the window was now broken as it did not shut properly. Window was never fixed for another 8 months!!!! Landlord got in touch cause she heard we were going to contest our tenancy agreement!
