You'd think any EA would be quite helpful to a first-time buyer with a decent deposit. Not this lot. We'd attempted to see a house of theirs some weeks back, but the property had gone under offer (not on the website, though). It came back, so we booked to see it at the excellent time of 7pm. How reassuring, I thought, to come across an EA prepared to hold a viewing at that hour. I would have continued to think that, if only they hadn't failed to show. I called the office, where someone was still in at 7.15, but I had no call back to explain the situation.

They didn't even bother to call back the following morning, so I called them. The explanation: the EA was running late so he had contacted the tenant to get them to show us round. Great, apart from the fact that this remained a private arrangement between Coopers and tenant. The house is gated and the entrance buzzer is unmarked for the house in question so even if I thought that it was my job to knock on the door, I couldn't.

"There was a misunderstanding," they said, "can I rebook your appointment?" Not on this occasion - I'd had enough of these clowns.
This person would not use Coopers Residential again.
