I would not use the agent again

John Mortimer manage the block in which I owned a flat which I have recently sold. Part of the reason for selling was the rate at which the building deteriorated under their management. They don't live up to their promises and they will do anything to keep a contract - very underhand. My advice is to avoid at all costs!

Agent undertakes repairs and projects having first received instructions from the director's of the block. They have no jurisdiction to undertake works without the permission and agreement of the residents committee.
In some cases there are insufficient funds in the reserve account and often works are on hold until there is sufficient in ther reserve account for a larger and important repair, ie perhaps a new roof.
