We agreed to purchase the above property subject to certain conditions
ie extension of lease to be started by this company and the seller during May 2013. The promise was made that the Express together with their client would commence the procedure ,and we would pay the cost at the conclusion of the sale.
During the next few months we were subjected to a bombardment of multiple daily telephone calls from LUCY who informed us that everything was going smoothly and that the lease extension and the sale/purchase was coming along fine .
At this stage we were given a number ultimatum dates by LUCY.
We completed our searches via our solicitor having been reassured by LUCY that everything was going fine and the extension was being agreed.
At this stage we were advised by our solicitor to to pull out as what we were being told by LUCY was incorrect(form your own conclusions at this point)
Our solicitor was also in contact with LUCY and advised us that we should not proceed as the information being given was incorrect.
OUR SOLICITOR VIA HER OWN ENQUIRIES HAD AT THIS STAGE ESTABLISHED THAT THE LEASE WAS NOT REGISTERED AT THE LAND REGISTRY BY THE PERSON PURPORTING TO BE THE OWNER AND COULD NOT BE EXTENDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
THIS COMPANY AND THEIR STAFF COST US £250 SEARCH FEES BECAUSE AF THEIR INCOMPETANCE
What agent could do to change your mind?
To be frank we explained fully to the agent about this waste of our time and money and have been informed that the are not interested. This just about sums up the company
