Very dodgy. Tried to pay rent via direct debit they keep messing it up!

Customer service is one of the most important, if not the most important factors to us at Homezone. We are therefore sorry to read that Dave was disapointed with us, we are also sorry that this comment has only recently come to our attention over 3 years on!! We are not exactly sure what he meant by messing up the direct debit. This comment is confusing because we do not, and never have, asked tenants to set up direct debits. However, as is the case with most agents, we do require tenants to organise standing orders with their banks to pay their rent on a monthly basis. Standing orders are organised, and more importantly controlled, by the customer whereas a direct debit is contolled by the organisation receiving the payment once the customer has given authoristation. Therefore, if there were an issue with the standing order (as it could not have been a direct debit), it could only have been between Dave and his bank. Perhaps Dave was confusing the two different types of payment which is easily done. We are all extremely approachable at Homezone and in these circumstances our staff are always on hand to talk applicants through the process. As a final thought, given that we have no record of a complaint from someone called Dave three years ago, we are inclined to suspect that the only thing "dodgy" about this matter is the complaint itself, perhaps as an attempt by someone from a less than genuine source trying to smear our otherwise untarnished record. Dave, if you are there, and genuine, we would be pleased to discuss the matter with you even three years on!!
